Automatic Writing and Conversations with a Higher Self
Every thought has its emotional aspect. Be careful of the type of seeds you plant.
Questions of my Higher Self.
On reading Gillian Ross’ book, ‘Is There Life Before Death,’ and her descriptions into her own ‘samskaras experiences, I desire to ask my Higher Self a number of questions. Whether they will be answered, indeed, whether they can be answered, with clarity, is another question in itself. But here goes...
First question: What are my major samskaras? Second: What is the root cause of each? Third: Whereabouts do they lie, i.e. what is their location? And Four: How may I best ameliorate and, eventually, dissolve them?
A little seed of bitterness can easily grow beneath the surface of our consciousness. In fact a great many do.
In each one of us our Higher Self is identical.

Your questions are all valid- yes, all of them. And I shall attempt to answer them to the best of your satisfaction.
Firstly, a samskaras is a deeply rooted emotional disturbance. It has sunk into your astral-plane body and there it resides and grows until it is eliminated. Gillian Ross was wrong when she said that the samskaras are always there. The actual happening which caused that samskara becomes so attenuated that it virtually fades into nothingness. The happening is there as a memory but a memory without attachments of any kind. It is a ‘neutral’ thing, an occurrence no longer of any significance except for the knowledge and experience you have gained from it.
All right. Now.
Watered by continual habit patterns, we unthinkingly nurture the seeds we've planted.
Answers from my Higher Self.
ask the best way to ameliorate samskaras, and where they are located in your body. Also, whether or not I’m able to tell you what engendered them in the first instance. I can do all of that. But it would take far too long. It would take years of documenting and explanation, for you’ve had a very long existence not only in human form but in forms which preceded that of your beingness as a ‘human’ being. So we won’t go into that. Well, not in detail. Though I can tell you of a number of these instances. And, no, I’m not breaking any ‘taboo’ by doing so.
Certain types of meditation will gradually dissolve samskaras.
You can best ameliorate samskaras by meditation of the type you are so industriously engaged in with Vipassana. You might think that you are getting nowhere, Tom, and that these feelings that you have when you meditate will go on forever. They won’t. All is change and a lot of the really bad stuff truly is behind you. But don’t anticipate any change. Let it happen as it will.
The seeds which we've inadvertently and unthinkingly planted continue to grow. Now they're arising into our conscious awarenss. We're beginning to manifest sym
"...move into those areas of your body with undivided attention."
The locations in the body become obvious as you move into those areas of your body with your undivided attention. Some areas are in the head. Some are in the heart. Some are in the groin. Many are interspersed throughout your limbs. But the major hang ups are of the heart. You’ll find that most of your headaches have gone and will not return. Right?
..."undertake more and more selfless deeds and charitable work."
But there are part of your heart chakra that needs to to opened. This will happen as you undertake more and more selfless deeds and charitable work. It will be a natural unfoldment so don’t think you have to force anything along.
You ask what has caused the major samskaras. Same as for everyone, Tom. Illusion and acceptance that what you see is what you get. Time and again you have moved along the same paths making the same mistakes. This life, however, has been somewhat different. You met with your teacher and mentor, Rex Bunn, at a critical juncture in your life and your whole life changed around because you were influenced by his suggestions that you take to what you are doing right now- automatic writing.
Hard to believe that that one little seed of discontent grew into a mighty plant that appears to dominate our whole being.
The root cause of all samskaras is ignorance.
So, in this life you have moved towards the spiritual steadily. You have not hurried anything. You have developed a fortitude and patience and are pursuing a dream. That dream is to become Me. And it will happen because it cannot not happen.
The root causes of all samskaras is ignorance. Human beings are spiritual beings. But too many, far too many, identify with the contents of their own minds- contents that they, themselves have manufactured. You have done the same.
From My Higher Self: "Continue with your meditation..".
But you are clear now, I think, on the questions you asked.
Continue with your meditation. Continue with your public speaking which you love and enjoy and which, incidentally, brings a lot of love and joy to others. And continue with your ‘Inner Quest’ classes. They are your true avocation. They are your life.
Goodbye and my blessings go with you.
