Choose Your Focus Wisely

Many of us are focused on our fears. In the weight loss arena this would mean that we are focused on the fact that we are overweight. Let's turn our focus to the positive now. We can become trim and athletic like other people.

Use Your Imagination.

How do you wish you looked? How do you wish you could feel? It is very likely that you want more energy. Losing weight and exercising is a great way to achieve this. Don't be afraid to dream big dreams as you think about how you truly long to look. Some people are afraid to truly desire greatness for themselves. Don't let that be you. You are meant and designed to be a great creature who fully actualizes that potential.

Control Your Focus

People today are very distracted. Whether they are tuning out with drugs, alcohol or even electronic devices and "tech addiction," people are having trouble focusing clearly upon their goals. The only one who can take charge of this and eliminate it from your life is you. No one can overcome a problem if their focus is scattered. That is why it is essential to crystalize your focus onto one goal: weight loss. Do not allow yourself to become distracted. Simply direct all of your actions onto your weight loss goal.

Take Deliberate Action Steps.

Write down on a paper all the things you will do. Maybe you will need to buy some books or DVDs. Maybe you would like to check out some weight loss books at the library. You may need to get yourself to go to that early morning workout class more consistently. You may want to make a dream or vision board that can be posted on your wall. A dream or vision board contains images of what you would like to have in your life. In the case of weight loss goals, it can have images of the body you desire to ultimately have for yourself. You will have to earn it but it is helpful to always keep the vision before you.

Be Honest About Your Results.

Perhaps not all of your efforts paid off. In fact, you may have binged or done some emotional eating on certain days. Be sure you are honest about what is going on. That way, you can avoid such pitfalls in the future.

Visualize a great success. Keep your mind fixed upon your own goal. Plan out what steps will lead to great weight loss and take those steps. Face what actions have or have not worked in your weight loss plan and you will have all the information your need to persist unto total weight loss success.
