Dream on, My Child
One day we will all just get along, then, nevermore to be any hatred,
There will be no more wars, clashes of wills, soon nothing to dread.
Each child to be born, will have a bright future, and without any doubt,
Dream on my sweet child, for there's nothing for you to worry about.
Our future world will have lots of food, and none will ever do without,
When someone asks for a little help, they will never have to shout.
Clothes to wear for each small child, all free from a cold winter's blast,
Pure water to drink and fine trees so tall, with no more poisons to cast.
No mountain too high, no star too far, the unthinkable will be thought,
Imaginations shall rule this world, without all the rules to be fought.
No more high prices on everyday needs, every cupboard all stocked,
People shall travel on roads without fear, no more houses to be locked.
The weapons of war shall not be anymore, and no more bombs, to kill,
A lasting peace from West to East, life will regain again, its grand thrill.
The air we breathe. no more wastes to leave, pure as the sun's own light,
A rational response to each person's needs, no more diseases, or blight.
A free society all about the globe, true democracy then to reign on high,
Everyone here shall live without fear, to reach higher than the eagle can fly.
For every young tear, a fairytale near, as their days all will end in such fun,
The times of our lives, nothing deprives, each one so fulfilled in their run.
Dream on my precious one, the day has begun, the grandest time draws near,
The most beautiful time, a life sublime, awaits us each now, and for all so dear.
Dream on, for the real may well be in our dreams, life much more than it seems,
In every small way and with every new day, our futures like fine gold, all gleams.
Dream on my child, and the world will be yours, everything that's in it, your own,
Your tomorrows will be more grand than yesterdays, as the brilliance of it is shone.
Let no goal seem too harsh, nor far, for beyond these all, we may surely exceed,
The future holds the greatest of all treasures, by your imagination, to it shall lead.
