Dymatize Elite Whey Protein Isolate Review
In this review I will be covering one of the more popular Whey protein supplements on the market, Dymatize Nutrition's Elite Whey Protein Isolate. For this review I will be talking specifically about the chocolate fudge flavour. I will cover the nutritional information, ingredients, taste test, overall rating and summarize my thoughts overall.

Now with that out of the way lets get started!
First Taste Test Results
Mixability - w/ semi skimmed milk - 7.5/10 Comments - mixed well for the most part, although a few unmixed clumps were still present when using a shaker and took a few shakes to fully mix (as stated on the tub), if you were using a blender then there will be no clumps.
Taste - 8/10 Comments - There is a distinct chocolate and fudge flavour that can be separated, excellent flavour here. The chocolate taste is in between milk chocolate and dark chocolate.
Texture - 9/10 Comments - reminds me of drinking a chocolate milkshake (when used with milk), excellent texture with milk, doesn't overpower and leave the mixture feeling "grainy" or like sand.
Nutritional Overview
In this section I will provide the nutritional information and give my thoughts. The first thing is the supplement facts, to be more specific the serving amounts.
As you can see to the right I have included a picture of the supplements facts. These are the typical industry standard for a whey protein isolate supplement, the servings per container, amount of protein per scoop and serving size of the scoop are all what you normally find in a whey protein supplement.
What's nice about this protein as opposed to other leading protein supplements is the addition of a good enzyme blend to aid with the digestion of the protein, especially for people that may be lactose intolerant, making it easier on their digestive systems. The first main ingredient is whey protein isolate followed by whey protein concentrate. This is a mark of a good protein supplement and the leading protein supplements go by this ingredient profile. There isn't a mix of proteins in this blend so it's ideal for you if you are just seeking to take whey protein without having to include the various other types of protein supplement.
Amino Acid Profile
The amino acid profile of whey protein is one of the main reason's that people use the supplement. The amino acid profile of whey protein is far superior to pretty much every other protein source that you can think of, the only other source that comes close in comparison is whole eggs but lets face it wouldn't you rather drink a protein shake in your favourite flavour. To the right I have included a picture of the amino acid profile in this whey protein.
Ingredients
I have included the ingredients list for the supplement to the right in a picture. This protein doesn't include Sucrose, fillers, maltodextrin or aspartame. Companies usually use maltodextrin as a filler as it is unbelievably cheap to purchase and adds a sweet flavour to the mixture I am glad to see that they haven't included any in this protein supplement. For the people that are aspartame/artificial flavour concious be aware that whey protein supplements do contain these (this one doesn't contain aspartame) but they are nothing to be afraid of if you are in relatively good health!
This protein supplement does contain genetically modified soybean oil, but again as mentioned above this isn't a problem if you are in good health and read the label on how to supplement properly. The manufacturing of this protein supplement is done in a GMP certified facility which rest assures that what they say is in the tub is in the tub. Health and safety isn't an issue with the manufacturing of this protein supplement, everything is up to present day standards.
As mentioned earlier with the enzyme blend for people who may be lactose intolerant or have trouble with dairy products, this protein supplement is also gluten free, allowing you to consume if you have problems with gluten, this is clearly labelled on the tub and is a far better way to state than leaving it at the end of the ingredient list or small text dotted around somewhere.
Overall Rating
This whey protein is by far one of the best that I have tried on the current market! It has a great ingredient profile per scoop, a large amount of serving per container, it's affordable compared to other similar proteins, tastes very good and is a no frills does what you want it to do supplement. I will be using this supplement now and in the future and I look forward to trying more flavours and using more of their products! Overall I would rate the product a 8.5/10. The only improvements I could suggest would be to eliminate the artificial flavours, but as mentioned they aren't a huge deal to someone who is healthy.
