Chocolate Low Calorie Snacks

Fruit with Hershey’s syrup

Any kind of fruit makes an excellent healthy snack but sometimes you just need something chocolate. Try cutting up your favorite fresh fruits or you can use the fruit in the can as long as you drain out the sugary syrup or get the kind in light syrup. My favorite fruits to use are pear halves and strawberries. Cut the fruit up and place in a bowl and then drizzle it with Hershey’s chocolate syrup for a healthy dessert that will satisfy any sweet tooth.

Chocolate banana smoothie

A chocolate banana smoothie is a great healthy substitute for a chocolate milkshake. Simply throw a banana, one cup of milk, a couple teaspoons of Hershey’s chocolate syrup into the blender with some ice for a smoothie so good that you will forget that it’s good for you. For an added kick you can even spoon in some peanut butter.

Chocolate smoothies taste every bit as good as chocolate milkshakes without all of the calories.

Bananas are great for making all kinds of healthy snacks. Try splitting the banana down the middle and spreading peanut butter on it. The banana gives you a serving a fruit and the peanut butter is rich in protein to give you more energy throughout your day.

Smoothies can make a great healthy snack or even a healthy meal substitute. The best part is that they are extremely easy to make and you can add and mix pretty much any type of fruit you want and it will still taste delicious. You can use fresh fruit or canned fruit in light syrup. Add a can or two of fruit, about a cup of a juice of your choice, fill with ice and blend. Experiment with the measurements until you get the smoothie to your desired thickness. Another great thing about smoothies is that even the least expensive blenders have a smoothie button on them now.
