The Steps to Eating Healthy

Can’t fit into a size four jeans like you used to back in college? Don’t settle. Do you feel like you’re weight has climaxed over the years, and you just feel like you don’t have control? Well you do have control. Don’t wait until you have a heart attack, or your doctor says you need to change your diet. Don’t wait until your five year-old wants to run around, but you can’t keep up. Take back your health by using this guide to help you learn how to eat in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and see the inches around your waist get smaller! It won’t be easy, but it’ll be worth it.

No Diets!

Eating is the most important part of losing weight. Eating contributes to about 80% of any successful weight loss. To lose weight, you don’t need to follow a diet. Don’t try the slim fast diet. Try eating in a way that becomes your lifestyle. Do you really want to drink slim fast for the rest of your life? I doubt it. When it comes to eating healthy, you want to eat clean. Eating clean refers to not eating processed food, and instead, eating a healthy serving of protein with a numerous amount of vegetables. The majority of any plate should be vegetables or fruit. To start losing weight, try eating 3 healthy meals a day with two snacks. Don’t just go for salads. Eating healthy can even be more delicious and filling then eating junk food. You can easily make a bean burrito with corn, lettuce, black beans, tomatoes, and avocado.

What to Eat?

To help you get an idea of what you should eat to help you get started on your weight loss, here is a basic food plan for one day:

Breakfast- Scrambled eggs on toast with avocado

Snack- An apple or your favorite kind of fruit

Lunch- Refried beans on a pita with tomato and guacamole

Snack- Low-fat yogurt parfait

Dinner- Grilled chicken breast with broccoli, carrots, and potatoes

Is that so hard to follow? It’s not! It is really easy and simple to start eating healthy. The only trouble of eating clean is the cravings you may get from wanting junk food. Eating healthy is the most important part of weight loss, and it also unfortunately is the hardest part of losing weight. To avoid cravings, if you’re full, you won’t need to eat. You should only be eating when you’re hungry. If you’re an eater when you’re bored, find an activity you can do to keep your mind off of eating. If that means you typically eat junk food while you’re watching television, turn off the television for a few days. If you’re an emotional eater, find something other activity you can do to release your emotions. Maybe take up a fitness or art class.

Eat Right!

Eating is the most important part of weight loss. If you can’t make it to the gym, or you don’t have time to exercise, just make sure you eating healthy for the day. Eating right is the first and hardest step to losing weight. Conquer it, and you’ll be able to do everything else! Good luck and you can do it!
