The skin's sloughing cycle actually varies from person to person, but the process becomes slower as we age. So a younger person's skin may renew itself fully over the course of 10-14 days, but an older person's may take 28.

Esthetics Educator 5 years ago

Your facts are not all correct.

Also, some of the comments are not correct either. Your skin does, on AVERAGE, renew itself every 28 days, and slows down from there during the natural aging process.

Goosebumps, ARE NOT pimples. They are a reaction from the arrector pili muscle, a minute muscle attatched to the hair follicle that causes the hair to stand on end, to help retain body heat.

A pimple is skin and debris being retained in the follicle causing an infection and inflammation.

The two are very different things.

Please complete your research and check all your facts before posting things. These children doing school projects about the skin are going to read this and think you are 100% correct and you're not.
