Get Rid of Hemorrhoids with Regular Exercise and Nutritious Diet

What are Hemorrhoids

Hemorrhoids are usually a painful and aggravating condition to be in. You are not alone in this. In fact, hemorrhoids affects millions of people every year. Hemorrhoids are usually known as piles and can occur when the veins in the lower rectal area and the anus become swollen and inflamed due to added pressure or strain.

Eventhough there are many causes of hemorrhoids, the first and foremost common cause is unhealthy bowel movements like constipation or diarrhea. These problems cause severe straining and prolonged sitting which over a period of time causes hemorrhoids to occur.

Symptoms of hemorrhoid include burning, itching, pain and in severe situations bleeding can also occur. Just a simple change in lifestyle can actually help to lessen hemorrhoid symptoms. Bad eating habits, lack of exercise and physical stress can cause indigestion and unhealthy bowel movements, eating a nutritious diet and exercising regularly can go a long way in hemorrhoid treatment.

A balanced diet rich in complex carbohydrates and high in dietary fiber is important so you can have a healthy digestive system. Fiber actually soften stools and assist with bowel contractions which means less straining. The lesser the strain and the lesser the pressure means lesser aggravation on your already present hemorrhoids and thus help in preventing more hemorrhoids from occurring. Increasing your water intake is very effective in keeping the bowels moving and helps to avoid digestive dysfunction.

Regular exercise is important because it can help get rid of hemorrhoids. People who are regularly exercising have more regular bowel movements. Exercising has also proven to be an effective stress reliever, it can help relieve unnecessary tension that can bring about hemorrhoids.

For those already experiencing pain and discomfort from the symptoms of hemorrhoids, a healthy and balanced diet as well as regular exercise can extremely help in reducing  hemorrhoid symptoms dramatically. For those who are alien to what hemorrhoids are, just continue having a healthy diet and exercise routine to not be plagued by this debilitating hemorrhoid disease. As Benjamin Franklin once said “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
