Diet And Exercise
For nutritional health a balanced diet of fresh fruit and vegetables is a must. For children, as well as women calcium is vital as is vitamin D for children. Healthy eating habits must have a sufficient amounts of nutrients. Intaking nutrients such as vitamins and minerals is best in foods raw state. Such as the whole grains, fruits, and dark green vegetables. Getting into the habit of forming good eating habits take practice. It is for some easier said than done. Getting the recommended daily milligrams of fiber is key for good colon health. Eating a piece of fruit in place of a candy bar is one small step in the right direction.
The Chicago Public School system has taken active action in giving school children healthier choices for snack time. For vending machine choices there are less chocolate bars, and more fruit, choices.
Healthy Eating vs. Bad Habits
What happens if an individual does not have good eating habits? A person can develop high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and/or diabetes. High blood pressure has been coined the silent killer due to one can have hypertension without knowing. Commonly there are no signs or symptoms of high blood pressure. High blood pressure puts a strain on the heart and kidneys.
Those who do have symptoms of Hypertention can have; headaches, blurred vision, dizziness, ringing of the ears, nosebleeds, and/or shortness of breath.
DASH For Health
The DASH diet which stands for Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension could be the first line of defensive when trying to naturally lower blood pressure. Some other remedies to fight Hypertention naturally could include using herbs. Please consult with your physician before using any herbal supplements. Some helpful herbs are:

Get Your Jog On!
Staying active is also key to living a healthy life. Keep your body moving helps to keep cholesterol down and under control. Did you know you can exercise while watching television? You can burn calories by doing walking in place for ten minutes. The proper way for this exercise to be performed is to lift your legs high in a marching motion. Pretend you are in a marching band and you lift the right leg up high and down again. Repeat the same motion with the left leg, continue for ten minutes. If done correctly you will feel the work out in your legs!
You do not want to grow out from your desk you will have a harder time churning out your hubs! Did you know you can exercise at your desk while working? Sure you can! You can do legs by stretching the leg out, hold for 2 seconds, and then pull your leg back putting your foot back on the floor. Repeat alternating legs ten times. I know you heard of the butt clinches? Tighten your buttocks hold for ten seconds release, and repeat 10 - 20 times to exerice that bottom!
Stress And Tension
Did you know some people actually do not know how to relax? My brother who suffers with hyperpertension does not have a clue of how to relax. He constantly stays on the edge everyday which certainly not healthy. In his case medication was his best option for treating his Hypertension.
One of the best ways to relax is learning meditation methods. Dr. Wayne Dyer has some of the best meditation tapes. I have used his CDs, and have read use about every book he's written, and he is awesome!
