The natural way to regrow your hair

Hair loss natural treatment is affordable and can be found inside your kitchen-ingredient cabinet or at your garden. If you have these natural herbs, spices and vegetables, like ginger, phanax ginseng, aloe vera, lye or lemon grass, moringa olifera or malunggay, then, your are ready for a lifetime hair makeover or recovery using the natural way. Your 'crowning glory' will soon restore its splendor.

Travel Man’s Anti-Hair Loss Natural Concoction

You can make the same concoction of the above-mentioned ingredients by simple mortar-and-pestle procedure. Crush and pound every herb, spice and vegetable to get the juice. Just remember that phanax ginseng acts as hair stimulant; ginger is anti-inflammatory and aids in good blood circulation in the scalp; aloe vera is a famous hair restorer; lye or lemon grass is also anti-inflammatory and rejuvenates hair follicles and malunggay leaves are rich in amino acid and vitamins A & E plus protein. The natural extracts can be blended with essential oil like the virgin coconut oil to prevent protein loss. Apply it to your hair scalp and see the result in the succeeding days. Natural biotin extract or vitamin B8 is also necessary to maintain the natural dark color of your hair or to avoid early white hairs.

Causes of Hair Loss

The three main causes of hair loss are 1)heredity, 2)hormonal imbalance and 3)stress-related. My friends will often remark that I had a receding hairline. “It’s in the genes,” I will always reply. Hormonal imbalance or the testosterone in male populace blocks the hair growth. So, most of the bald-headed persons are male. Patches of hair loss can be caused by lupus or systemic disease or the so-called alopecia ariata. Too much thinking or many stress-related work can cause hair loss.

Those affected are usually mature men and women. Children who suffer hair loss can be blamed to too much studying. Normal hair loss when taking a bath should not exceed from 50-100 hair strands. If you are a diabetic person, it can affect the hair growth cycle. It is attributed to weak circulatory system, weak immune system and hair scalp infection.

When you frequent your local beauty shop for hair treatments that use a lot of synthetic hair products as in hair dye, hair strengthener or hair-relaxing agent, hair color, et cetera, there will be more problems that you'll encounter. Hair salon products should jive with the type of hair a customer possesses. Hair stylists, nowadays are careful and do their own hair analysis to avoid complaints from their customer-friends.

Travel Man experienced his own hair loss period when he tried the hair strengthening offer at her aunt’s beauty parlor. He suffered scalp itching and even wounded some parts of his head. The mixture of hair strengthening product was not compatible with his scalp. Now, he’s on the verge of reviving his receding hairline. His officer also suffered from hair loss that paved the way to use a hair-restoring agent called minoxidil. He cannot fought the after effects that he fainted inside his cabin’s toilet and injured the back of his head. Reasons can be one of the following: a) that he’s suffering from heart ailment; b) he had kidney trouble; c) he had a liver ailment; or d)scalp problems. Minoxidil can be used by adults or in their 40 years and above from two months to two years to notice the effects, or hair growth.

The Wonder of Kidney Beans

Early signs of hair loss can be prevented if you nourish your ‘crown’ with kidney beans. Yes, all beans, especially this one is rich in vitamin A & E, selenium and magnesium that are essential for hair growth. It is important to nourish the hair bulb and hair follicle, not only the strands. So, don’t be misled by the notion that beans will just contribute to high uric acid in your kidneys if you will frequently eat these legumes.

Travel Man’s Hair Spa

By studying and learning the concoction of natural herbs, spice and vegetable essentials to the fullest, I can now have my own ‘hair spa’. I will not worry about buying shampoo, because this natural mixture will be my shampoo and hair conditioner, as well.

A very informative article, but could u tell me how to get all the herbs, spice and vegetable like u mentioned above ? thx

Thanks for a hub-visit, Evilia. I've mentioned ginger, phanax ginseng, aloe vera, lye or lemon grass and moringa olifera or malunggay. Ginger, malunggay and lemon grass are usually available in the vegetable section at the farm market or organic store. Ginseng and aloe vera can be found in herbal plantation or in market, too.

As for me, I've grown ginger, malunggay, ginseng (or tongkat ali), aloe vera and lemon grass for my personal use.

You can omit the lye if it's not available. You can mix it with virgin coconut oil, extract it, filter, then apply to your scalp.

Good luck.

Thanks for yr reply, i am really thinking to search all the materials needed because i want to try it. How long should we use it until can see the result? Do u use it personally? Does the extract smelly? Use it daily once or how? I am sorry for my detailed question:)

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 6 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

Yes, I use it personally thrice a week. It's smelly, in a nice way, though. Aloe vera can be used separately but mixing it with other fresh ingredients will enhance its potency.

How to stop balding fan 5 years ago

I had a friend that started going bald when he was in high school. It's really hard to get through the high school years when you are already balding. I wish we could have known these tips for how to stop balding earlier. Thanks for posting this for others!

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@How to stop balding fan: Thanks for dropping by. I had the same problem, years ago, but with this natural method and a lot of patience, I am reaping a good result.

Stress can contribute a lot on hair loss. Happy thoughts should count.

You can suggest to your friend to be hygiene-conscious. Sport a short hair to minimize that balding look.

If you have enough budget, you can seek the advice of a doctor who have ample knowledge on this subject.

Good luck, to your friend!!!

Coolcat 5 years ago

Hi, Mr. Travel man...have a nice day...I just want to ask if how to use that? Its all the ingredients need to mix or apply it directly to the scalp individually?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Coolcat: Before, I only apply fresh aloe vera extract on my scalp. Then, I tried mixing this with other ingredients that I've indicated here.

You can personally grow all of it on your backyard.

Thanks for dropping by.

coolcat 5 years ago

Thanks Travel Man...God Bless YOu!!!

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@coolcat: You're welcome. A version of this can be bought at the leading drugstore or supermart near you.

Just inquire about an organic hair tonic with similar ingredient.

Rest assured that it's as effective as my fresh version.

renaissance 5 years ago

hi, mr. travelman! what is the amount of each ingredients to be mix. just to be specific...thank you. more power to you!

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@renaissance: Thanks for asking. Sorry for receiving this answer just now.

Well, I have to double my effort when extracting the juice of both ginger and lemon grass. 1 teaspoon of the two ingredients is enough for a mixture. I already planted Tongkat Ali (local version of ginseng). A teaspoon of it will do.

Aloe vera should be 1 tablespoon. It's somewhat sticky but you can use a small strainer to extract the juice.

Just dilute with 2 tablespoons of water as you begin to massage your scalp.

Good luck!

SeksiMasi 5 years ago

Hi I just finished reading everything and I'm going to try it, but I'd like to know how much of the Malunggay and the virgin coconut oil is needed for the mixture. Btw thanks so much for sharing this with others!

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@SeksiMasi: Thanks to you, too. You can try 1 Tablespoon for malunggay and 2 teaspoons for virgin coconut oil.

robbie 5 years ago

sir.. if i use the virgin coocnut oil + the other concoctions will i be able to stuck it??? if yes... for how many days and does it need to be in cool places like ref?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@robbie: Yes, you can stuck it for a week in the refrigerator. Since it is fresh, I've noticed that it easily coagulate. You just have to shake the mixture before using it again.

Marc 5 years ago

Hi Travel Man, Thanks for the formula. Is it possible that only Ginger and Virgin Coconut will help my hairloss problem?

Marc 5 years ago

Hi again, just to add in my ingredients... i also have malunggay leaves in our backyard. :)

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Marc: It is more effective if you'll have all the ingredients, even if you don't include ginseng.

Well you still have to try ginger, virgin coconut oil plus malunggay extract to have good blood circulation in the scalp.

Best of luck to you.

BTW, there's a commercial version that you can buy with the buy. It is worth more than P2,000.00. Other hair grower will need physician's advise before you use it.

noriel 5 years ago

Hi Mr. Travelman. I have been using this malunggay and ginger concoction for almost two months now.. after pounding the malunggay ang ginger, i would extract the pure juice of those two then apply it on my scalp. I would leave it overnight then wash when i take a bath morning of the next day. Do you think It's safe to leave it overnight and let it dry? I have read that hair grows faster at night and I am afraid that the residues of the extract would block the growth of hair. Pls. advise. What is the ideal length of time that it should be left on the scalp? thanks.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@noriel: You're right. Hair does grow faster at night. The usual duration I applied is only 30 minutes, then I'll wash my hair then dry it before I sleep. It will make the pores breathe easy ( as I'll describe it) rather than leave it with malunggay and ginger residue.

noriel 5 years ago

Thanks travel man! How long does it take to see the result? I guess i have made the wrong application that's why the results for my almost two months of applying the malunggay ang ginger extracts are very minimal.. Maybe I should do it everyday, 30minutes each day.. Starting today, I will switch to the 30minute malunggay concoction habit:D

NAD 5 years ago

Hi Travel Man, I have mixed each tablespoon of Ginger, Malunggay, Lemongrass and VCO. Put it in a dispenser. :)

Is it ok if i leave it overnight? Just worried because of what you said in leaving residue on my scalp when pores need to breathe at night. Also to mention that i stopped using hair wax because thinking it might contaminate my treatment but i am a working, and need to be somehow looks presentable. I am planning to use Castor Oil as a read, it also promote hair regrowth. Please suggest a routine to use both of them if ever castor is fine to use with the formula i have made. Many Thanks!

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Noriel: You're welcome, Noriel. I also would like to reiterate that since natural extracts have a very strong potency, you can dilute it with water. Had I mention it already?

It took me more than two months to see a better result. You just have to be patient and refrain from using commercially available shampoos or hair gel application, too.

And what's surprising is that my white hairs are slowly going back to its brown-black color (the original hue of my hair).

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@NAD: Yes, I've been in the same boat or similar incident, like you've experienced by looking good when working at the office. I used a lot of hair gel and even hair spray due to the stubborn locks my curly hair possessed.

My hairline receeded due to my aunt's persuasion to let my hair be chemically-strengthened. At first, I enjoyed it, but the second time, the result was bad as my hair suddenly thinned due to the hazardous chemicals that almost destroyed my hair scalp.

Returning to this natural method of hair regrowth let me decided to trust its effectivity. And it grows wonder little by little.

As for the castor oil, it can stand alone.

You better try the sap of aloa vera. It leaves a refreshing smell, along with the juice of lemon grass as natural hair groomer. Just strain it with little castor oil ( a drop or two from medicine dropper) and comb your hair with it.

Don't laugh 'cause it's effective. I tried it once, and no one noticed that I was not applying hair gel anymore.

Apply it in mininum just to hold those stubborn locks of your hair.

Raughn 5 years ago

Hi Travel Man,

Trust you are well!

I mixed:

-1 tbsp crushed ginger

-1 tbsp crushed lemon grass

-1 tbsp malunngay leaves extract

-1 tbsp aloe vera gel

and put all of these to a

-100 ml of VCO.

1. Am i doing the right mixture?

2. Does this formula expires? if yes, how should i know?

I let this formula stays in my receeding hairline for 30 minutes before i wash it.

3. Am i doing the right thing? or i will let it stay overnight?

4. Apply only in affected area or all over my hair?

As per your answer to Nad,

5. Does "stand alone" means it can be used without any ingredients, only castor oil?

Hope you can answer all of my 5 queries because i must act fast than my receeding hair line. hehehe

God bless and more power!

noriel 5 years ago

hi travel man! what could be the possible bad effects if i would use the pure extracts of these herbs (malunggay, ginger)? I usually don't mixed the extracts with water since i assume it maight be more effective if it would be pure.. Will it make my hair shed more if the solution won't be diluted with water? i have been doing this for two months.. Kindly advise so i can immediatley do the right procedure..:D thanks travel man!

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Raughn: Thanks for dropping by.

1. Yes, you may follow that formula.

2. Yes, it expires just like other commercial hair products.

3. Don't let it stay overnight. A 30-minute duration will do.

4. You apply it on the affected area first for the concentration of its effects. Then you can apply it to the rest of your hair later.

5. Yes, castor oil can stand alone. You can use it when you want a natural glow on your hair, instead of applying gel or pomade. Just what I've suggested to Nad.

Thanks and hoping we all grow back our receding hairs. LOL! In a natural way, for sure.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@noriel: I forgot to mention that dermatologist will help a lot in determining the situation of your hair depending on the testosterone level. If it surges or we have an abundance on it, there's a thinning hair that will be noticed.

Anyways, I am asked my friend-dermatologist about my being an advocate of this natural concoction for hair re-growth; she said that it's safe to use, although a caution on it's toxicity should be noted. Pure extract has this, so a little dilution of water would be safer to do.

jasmin 5 years ago

hello travel man, how about i omit the phanax ginseng if not available it will also work on my scalp, a big help thanks

Raughn 5 years ago

Is it true that onion juice can promote hair regrowth? do you know any regiment on how to neutralize the smell?

noriel 5 years ago

Hi travelman! does it mean that thinning hair due to dht level may not be treated by malunggay extract? The symptoms of my thinning hair started in receding hairline and crown area,,, do you think malunggay extract plus ginger and lemon grass may help nourish my hair follicles which are affected by DHT deposits in the scalp? thanks dude!

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

Sorry for delayed answers, guys.

@jasmin: Yes, you can omit it. I only had one ginseng at home. I hope it would propagate more for future use.

@Raughn: I tried it long, long time ago. But it's kinda harsh on my scalp. Better eat it not apply directly on your scalp.

@noriel: Dihydrotestosterone (5?-Dihydrotestosterone, commonly abbreviated to DHT) is an androgen or male sex hormone. The enzyme 5?-reductase synthesises DHT in the prostate, testes, hair follicles, and adrenal glands. This enzyme reduces the 4,5 double-bond of the hormone testosterone. (Wikipedia) We are what we eat. If we'll just apply those herbs and vegetable extract on our scalp but not eating or consuming much of it, then, the effects will not be agreeable. You should eat a healthy diet. I've written three symptoms about hair loss: heredity, stress and hormonal imbalance due to certain diseases. My problem is the same with you. It's all about heredity but aggravated by frequent hair straightening. (Sighs) Better consult a doctor (dermatologist) near you. Good luck, dude!

noriel 5 years ago

I guess I have been living a healthy lifestyle eversince.. I smoke for maybe 3 or 4 times per year, really very seldom.. I have been taking supplements like centrum to complete my daily vitamin needs. I also eat vegetables and fruits,,,, fruits not so frequent:D Mr.travelman, how serious was your hairloss then when you started to treat it with herbal concoctions? Presently, are you able to grow back your hair? i want to post a pic my hairline before wen i wasn't experiencing this hairloss and my hairline now that I am losing my hair, so you can judge if there's a chance that I can grow back my hair. But the problem is,,,, I don not know how to post pic here:D

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@noriel: Reasons can be one of the following: a) that he’s suffering from heart ailment; b) he had kidney trouble; c) he had a liver ailment; or d)scalp problems. Minoxidil can be used by adults or in their 40 years and above from two months to two years to notice the effects, or hair growth.

Better have a complete or executive medical check-up, meaning from head to foot in order to determine your case.

As for me, I suffered hair loss on my forehead where the hair line boundary is already visible and thinning at the top.

Now, I clearly see a big change at the top of my hair, although growing back hairs on my forehead take time.

But receding lines are slowly fading as the thin hairs slowly grow back.

These are my answers to online readers who took interest with this subject.

@renzo: Yes, you can use the three oils. VCO is my most recommended oil for the hair.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Anna: Yes you can add but in little quantity only. VCO is a good treatment for treated hair.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Ummitre Patience is a virtue. To make your hair grow back faster, moderate your lifestyle. Talk with your inner self as in taking a rest as much as you can, as in sleeping 8 hours per night. You can also watch your diet. Talk to your doctor. Age factor also matters.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 5 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Jalia: Olive oil is more of culinary use, although also used as ingredient in soap making.

It is also used for shaving hair for smooth result. I don't have facts about using it as hair grower.

Let's settle for the VCO. Good luck to you.

bald 4 years ago

thank you for your reply..may i ask again regarding for the mixture?

its ok,

i'll will mixed;

-1 tbsp crushed ginger

-1 tbsp crushed lemon grass

-1 tbsp malunngay leaves extract

-w/out aloe vera gel(its hard to find)

question are:

how many ml. of VCO or water may i use to mix with the extracts i mentioned.

how many days will expire, if w/out putting in the refrigerator?

how many drops may i use to be in my affected area?

thank you again..godbless and advance Merry Christmas as well.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@bald: A 100 ml VCO or half of it is my recommendation. A dilution of water will affect its potency, for sure.

I included water on my first rough mixture of this natural hair solution, but my sister advised me to stick to the VCO.

Little by little I noticed the difference between my before and after hairline. Little hairs are growing back slowly.

3 to 5 drops will do or it depends on the affected area.

Happy holidays, to you, too.

PS. You can ask a local horticulturist or flower growers or vendors regarding aloe vera.

It's part of the mixture to make it more beneficial. Good luck!

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@kate: yes, it's true. Only, the potency from fresh and powderized will differ.

Application will need a dilution with water in order to neutralize its potency on your hair.

kate 4 years ago

thank u so much for taking the time to respond. im not sure i understand what u wrote though. is it ok to drink the powder in tea form?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@kate: Yes, you can drink it. There's also a supplementary moringa capsules that are available online.

You can order it here in the Philippines.

kate 4 years ago

do u recommend it? will i really see results?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@kate: Yes, I would recommend it for you. Women should take more supplements than men, as with moringa.

Although, for the hair, it should be directly applied on your scalp, so that the hair roots will receive more nourishment, too.

kate 4 years ago

how do i apply moringa leaf powder on the scalp exactly? i understand that it needs to be direct inorder to properly see results but wont it be a little messy as its a powder?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@ kate: It should be mixed with other ingredients. Just follow my instruction stated on my hub. Thanks.

joey 4 years ago

hi ive been following ure conversation with katie. can i sub moringa leaf powder for malunggay leaves extract?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@joey: Yes, you can. In fact, that's what I recommend; the fresh malunggay extract.

The potency is there; you just have to dilute it with little amount of water before applying on your scalp, where thinning of hair is apparent.

joey 4 years ago

what's more effective? to mix the moringa leaf powder with water as u just suggested or to mix the moringa leaf powder with aloe vera gel, lemon grass, ginger and vco?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@joey: The one that I suggested is more effective. Or you can also mix your own concoction using the same ingredients.

joey 4 years ago

sorry im a little confused. what is it that u suggested?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@joey:Just read my hub, pls.

jess 4 years ago

i cant find malunggay leaves extract anywhere in the uk so can i use moringa leaf powder instead mixed with ure suggestions?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@jess: Yes, you can use it instead. The composition is still the same as the fresh ones. Good luck!

paul0hubog 4 years ago

@travelman ive already mix all the ingredients is it oka if i refrigerated it?

paul0hubog 4 years ago

@travelman sir is it okay if i also add vitamin E and 1 tbsp extract on the mixture?

sorry for spamming

jess 4 years ago

how do u crush lemon grass and ginger? also how long till id see results? if i stopped applying the mixture to my scalp will the hair that regrew fall out?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@paul0hubog: I recommend an organic shampoo suited for male hair. I hope you understand that I cannot name it here (for commercial purposes).

Sure, you can refrigerate it but it will only last for 3 days. You have to make a new batch, since it is freshly mixed.

I think, it's not necessary to add vitamin E since malunggay (moringa) leaves are already rich in the said vitamin.

Spamming means you're promoting something different here.

Thanks for the query and your interest with my mixture.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@jess: Try pounding lemon grass and ginger with mortar and pestle, along with other ingredients. Then. you can extract the mixture through a clean cotton cloth then filter it or pass through a sieve.

Good luck!

paul0hubog 4 years ago

@travel man thanks a lot! ive added ginger to the mixture, is it okay if i replace VCO with water because im having lots of hairfall everytime i apply my hair with VCO?

jess 4 years ago

mortar?pestle? ure method is getting too complicated now since i have never even heard of these things...... i think im gonna give ure method a miss even though it sounded so promising...... thnx tho for all ure advice

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@pau10hubog: You're welcome. Well, dilute it with water and add little VCO, but don't include it. You observe if too much hair will fall this time.

Or if the effect can never be lessened, then omit it.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@jess: Oh, that's a pity, you've never heard about mortar and pestle. Sorry (or you can just google it).

Thanks for the reply. If you can simplify it, try it on yourself, too.

joey 4 years ago

does using vco cause hair loss as paul above found?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@joey: I don't think so. It's normal to have hair loss every day, but not too much. You can research about that if you want. VCO is not a culprit to hair loss. It is also used as spa agent for your 'crowning glory.'

jess 4 years ago

ive decided to give it a try!!! how many times a week shud i apply it and for how long? and will i see immediate results? thnx so so much

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@jess: Every other day, before taking a bath, you can apply it. It took me two months to notice the result. Patience...that's the virtue I'm keeping right now just to see my hair grow back again.

But be sure to have an ample sleep, too, then also apply the kind of virtue I am 'wearing' right now. :D

jess 4 years ago

ok thanx! how long shud i keep it on the scalp for before washing off?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@jess: I tried 15 minutes. Just massage the mixture on the thinning part of your hair then wash it with clean water.

jess 4 years ago

can i wash my hair with regular shampoo after?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@jess: You'll be cheating yourself if you can't break the habit of using your regular shampoo after the treatment.

You cannot use it in a strictest sense. Just wash it thoroughly and you will have a cool, refreshing scent on your hair due to the mixture you use for treatment. You'll have a faint smell of lemon grass and ginger. :)

jess 4 years ago

are u serious? so ure saying that i shud never use shampoo? the mixture will get rid of greasy hair?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@jess: Yes. If you really want to let your hair grow back. Or if you can't, then better resort to other treatment.

charlie edsel 4 years ago

@travel man what part of ginger plant that i will use? in addition to the other ingredients...thanks

@travel man should i say what part of ginseng plant that i will use to be? in addition to the other ingredients....thanks and Godbless

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@charlie edsel: The roots of ginger or even ginseng plant will be used for your natural mixture on hair loss treatment at home.

Thank you fro dropping by. :)

charlie edsel 4 years ago

@travel man In addition to this, what if the some part of the stem including leaves..could it be too??thanks and more power.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 4 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@charlie edsel: Sorry for this late reply. I've been out of the country (PH) for half-a-month as sailor. Now, as the signal permits to go online, I can answer you, if you still around.

Part of the stem of ginger? (if that's what you mean?) I haven't used it, though. But if you want an extra squeeze from its stem, you can do so for added potency.

Elite-Tsuj 4 years ago

Travel man ,

When you got all the ingredients do you need to combine it in virgin coconut oil?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 3 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Elite-Tsuj:Yes you may do so, plus the allotted dilution of water. The virgin coconut oil serves ass the essential oil of the mixture. Since I prepare my concoction at home, I use mineral water for diluting the mixture.

jemyrein 3 years ago

hi travel man., do you have new pictures of Before and After??

Ganu kana katagal gumagamit nyan?

im only 17yrs old nagsisimula na pong maglagas hair ko nasa genes ata namin.

may magggrow pabang hair or babyhair pag gumamit ako nyan? nakikita na kasi ung anit ko pag naarawan kya minsan ayoko ng lumabas

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 3 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@jemyrein: Because of my work overseas as a seaman, I had to stop using it. Only when I am on vacation for, let's say 3 months.

Kailangang magpa-araw ka. Folic acid ang kulang saiyo. Ganun din ang sabi sa akin, pero it will depend on what you eat.

I tell you, it's effective. Mayroon na akong inilagay sa aking hub. Mas kumapal na ngayon ang buhok na iyan. Pero sa temple ko, mga maninipis ang tumubo. Siguro sa edad ko na rin (41 na ako ngayon).

sir travel man, i am staying in malaysia and my family is in pakistan, i have a problem of hair loss, can you give me an alternate or some directions for planax ginseng, because i have no idea that is it available in any of the 2 countries?

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 3 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@Kareem Roopani: Thanks for asking. You can Google search it by asking the address of stores selling the product (as in phanax ginseng) either in Pakistan or Malaysia. I am sure that you'll find it there.

jo 3 years ago

i used aloe vera before in treating my thinning hair but every time i used it my hair my scalp starts to get dry and causes more dandruff and itchy so i stop using it but i'll give it a try with your suggested mixture and hoping it will do wonders in my hair. thanks for sharing this article to all of us and soon ill let you know how it works on me.

aeroh192 3 years ago

Hi, just read all the comments and your post as well.

Medyo naguluhan lang po ako dun sa mixtures, i mean i wanna ask sana kung gaano katagal bago po magexpire? if i'll put it on refrigerator mas tatagal ba??

Hoping for your response! if your still there.

Your answer will be much appreciated sir.

Thanks

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 3 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@aeroh192: Thank you for posting your remarks here. I consulted a local herbal shampoo producer (she's still waiting for a BFAD approval before her concoction-similar to mine -will be available commercially) regarding my mixture. She said that I should attend a seminar being hosted by the local branch of DOST (Dept. of Science and Technology) since I made my mixture like this:

-1 tbsp crushed ginger

-1 tbsp crushed lemon grass

-1 tbsp malunngay leaves extract

-1 tbsp aloe vera gel

and put all of these to a

-100 ml of VCO.

Filter the mixture and you can refrigerate it for five days (chiller temp @ 5 degrees centigrade) or better freeze it to prolong its shelf life.

Note: I will be featuring my interview with the local herbal shampoo manufacturer in the future.

I hope I answered your query regarding my hub.

aeroh192 3 years ago

Thank you for your answer.

But still bit magulo dun sa part na sabi niyo "refrigerate for 5 days"?

and then what's next after 5 days po? expired na? ganun po ba?

Thanks..

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 3 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@aeroh192: Not exactly expired but the freshness of the concoction will not be attained anymore. That's why the local organic shampoo maker which I consulted said that it should still undergo a fermentation process for assurance that mixture will have a longer effectivity, even it's only stored at room temperature.

In the meantime, you still can use your mixture and renew it for the next five days. Just make a small batches as I indicated here.

I hope you'll not be confused anymore.

Thanks again for clarifying your queries.

aeroh192 3 years ago

Ah okay thanks sir.

if i am going to make 100ml definitely hindi ko siya mauubos in 5 days. Therefore ill make it like 1/4ml of it and together with the rest of the mixtures. Tama ba sir?

Sir keep us posted about your consultation with the shampoo maker. Thanks.

hi mr travel man ..good day to you ..im 48 yrold na..sa palagay mo ba mapapatubo pa ng miture na to ang aking hair.? ..thank you so much

hi mr travel man i have hair fall problem. during this i m loosing my hair.

the hair spa is good for it?

and i will also try ur natural hair treatment.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 2 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@aeroh192: Thanks for patronizing this herbal shampoo mix. Ever since I published this hub, I gradually refrain from using commercial shampoos, since my skin becomes itchy and flaky. I resorted into using the basic medicinal/herbal/spices available in our backyard. It helped in a way that my hair loss lessen and its whitening, too (pag-uuban).

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 2 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@eli: Our hair can continue to grow even if we are dead already (since it will depend on the nutrients being transferred from our scalps.

I believe that there is always hope, without even resorting into hair transplant.

Change of lifestyle (avoid vices) and clean living can contribute to hair growth again.

Diseases can also contribute to hair loss and ageing, but we can slow it down by returning into basics, like using what I recommended here.

I hope it will work for you, too.

travel_man1971 profile image

travel_man1971 2 years ago from Bicol, Philippines Author

@abhi: A male hairdresser who happens to be from our city in Bicol commented positively with what I'm doing here. Natural treatment for hair loss is really the basic to grow back thinning hair. Whereas hair spa mixes in the beauty salon has synthetic ingredients that can give advserse effects from person to person.

Honestly, I also resorted to having hair spa, twice but it didn't helped in way paving to more hair loss.
