Urinating frequently is a condition that includes the passing of urine very often than in normal circumstances. If you’re having to urinate frequently, it can be caused by several reasons that could be considered serious. Some normal causes are obvious such as drinking too many fluids like caffeine and alcohol but other causes might occur due to some undiagnosed reason if you’re having to urinate very often. This could mean that your frequent urination is likely to be symptom of an unknown disease, disorder or condition. This could include diabetes, enlarged prostrate and urinary tract infection. Apart from suffering from diseases, disorders and conditions, frequent urination can occur to any age group. Nocturia is a condition faced by many middle aged and elderly people when they feel the need to urinate at night.

Having to urinate frequently would probably dehydrate your body to an extent where you need to drink several glasses of water. Although we have been advised to drink plenty of water throughout our daily lives, drinking too much water can actually cause water intoxication which can cause death so you need to be careful with how much water you drink. If your urinating over 3.5 quarters a day, then this is not normal. You need to find out what is causing your frequent urination.

What Causes Frequent Urination?

Causes of frequent urination include conditions of the urinary tract like the kidneys, bladder and urethra. Other causes of frequent urination include infection, inflammation, diseases and diabetes.
