How Life Can Be So Beautiful When Living It Sober

Updated on August 3, 2012

HOW BEAUTIFUL IS YOUR LIFE

When someone has an addiction to alcohol they really don't know how life can be so beautiful living it sober. I am the first to admit, I never knew how beautiful life was until I stopped drinking alcohol.

There are about 18 million people in the world that have an addiction to alcohol and are alcoholics. They depend on alcohol each day of their life, just as I did for many years. In the meantime, all of us that are alcoholics are missing out on such a beautiful life and everything life has to offer us all because of a liquid that gives you a buzz, gets you drunk, makes you sick due to drinking too much, and gives you a great hangover the morning after.

What in the world are we all doing to ourselves by letting a simple thing run and ruin our life? Now that I have been clean and sober for almost 3 years I now realize I was a weak person to let the alcohol take over my life and ruin the lives of people that loved and cared for me.

Simple living can be a beautiful life too. That is what I did as soon as I quit drinking alcohol. I wanted to live simple but still be happy and sober.

I BET YOU NEVER REALIZED THIS

When we are so used to drinking alcohol everyday of our lives we tend to forget about our health and our life that we are ruining and missing out on.

Have you really sat down and thought of what you are missing out on in your life? Think about it long and hard because you sure are missing out on a beautiful life that is right there waiting for you to enjoy, only if that is what you want out of your life, a beautiful life.

I can kick myself in the butt for letting the demons of alcohol ruin a good part of my life all because I didn't have the willingness and the strength to say no more, I have had enough!

Why can't we all stop drinking alcohol and abusing it to the point of missing out on a great healthy life. In the long run, this great liquid we all love and depend on will indeed kill all of us in the end, one way or another and you can count on it!

We just can't abuse our bodies every single day of our life and expect to live a healthy and long life, because it will not happen. Sooner or later the alcohol will catch up with all of us and it just may be too late to make a turn around. Doesn't that scare you enough to even consider quitting drinking. It did for me, and I have never been healthier and happier in my life.

I now know that my life is simple, happier and enjoyable without drinking alcohol and the life I now have is one heck of a beautiful life to say the least.

Try out sobriety even if it is a short time and you may then realize you don't need to have alcohol in your life and then long term sobriety will be in your future as it was and is in my life.
