Add a zero to the number of pounds you are wanting to weigh, this will equal the calores that you need to consume in order to reach and maintain this weight.

Example: 130lbs + 0 = 1300 calories

Once you find out how many calories you need to consume to loose weight, you will be able to find out which foods are helping or hurting you.

In order to loose weight, you must eat. This seems like a contradiction but when you eat the right foods within a certian calorie range, you will loose 1-2 pounds a week.

Eating foods that are rich in nutrients, vitamins, and minerals will assist your body to function properly. Metabolism works best in healthy bodies. Keep track of what you eat, maybe even start a journal.

Jotting down what you eat during the day will help you count the calories that you consume. It will also make you accountable for going over.

You will be able to easily adjust your diet according to your calorie intake. Cut back calories during the evening if you went over early in the day.

Time Frame To Loose Weight With Calorie Counting

Perhaps you have a special event like a wedding or class reunion. You're in a time crunch to loose weight and you want to boost your metabolism to look great for that special date. Incorporate exercise in your program to burn fat fast.

When choosing a low calorie diet plan, be sure to eat hight protein foods when exercising. This will help you to build muscle and also reduce the feeling of being hungry.

Many people use protein shakes and bars as an alternative to eating foods rich in protein. This is especially helpful for busy people on the go.

Just remember to count the calories in drinks too. Some drinks have enough calories in it to count as one full meal!


The Scale Is Your Friend. Calories And Weight Loss

Some people will tell you not to get on the scale while trying to loose weight. It may discourage you and cause a set back in your weight loss goals.

This bit of advice may be the reason you gained weight in the first place. Can you imagine how easy it would be to loose 5 to 10 pounds had you known about it when it first started creeping on.

Weighing yourself at least once a week is suffice. Any more then that may cause you to become obsess with the number you see.

Remember to trust your scale and your belt. As soon as you feel your clothes getting tight, make small changes such as having a salad for lunch instead of a burger or start taking a brisk walk during the evening.
