How Not To Let Our Worlds Problems Get You Depressed

Being Depressed in the World Today

As we all know our world is going through some hard times. Millions on people around the world have lost money, lost their life's saving, lost their homes and some have even lost their life due to being so depressed over what is going on in our world today.

When things are looking bad in our lives everyone has that feeling of depression and just can not get out of that lost feeling of no hope left in my life.

Everyone has to try as hard as they can to have a positive attitude no matter what is going on in your life. I realize how hard it would be to keep that positive attitude because I have had that same feeling of no hope for many years of my life. I as well as many other people thought, "why are all these bad things happening to me and my life?" Will our lives ever get better?

You bet they will, but in some cases it just takes longer for some than others, but you cannot give up on your hope to a better life. You must not throw in the towel and give up. All of us, no matter what in our life is going wrong have to continue to think positive and try our hardest to make things work out in our favor. It can be done, believe me it can.

As many of you know that I had an addiction to alcohol and I thought by drowning my sowers and my problem with alcohol everything would get better and I was entirely wrong. This is why i write many articles about my life in hopes of helping others in the world understand that you must not ever give up hope as hard as it may be.

Keeping That Positive Attitude Through Life

The only way to get through our lives in the world we live is to keep that positive attitude at all times.

Just imagine what our life would be like if you simply gave up because our world is in a bad way, in which many of us will go down with the ship if you live your life with a negative attitude.

I had that negative attitude for many years and always asked myself and others as well, " why is my life so upside down and everyone else seems to be living a great and happy life?"

The answer to that question was when I stopped drinking alcohol. Everything I wanted in life, and wouldn't happen while drinking, suddenly started to fall into place. You may ask why I say this, but the reason was, I wanted to help myself. If you lose hope on yourself, and continue to think negative thoughts, you will live a very sad and lonely life, especially if you are addicted to alcohol or even drugs.

Using and abusing these killers drugs will not solve anything in our world, nor will it make your life any better, and you can take that to the bank.

So the bottom line here is to stop being depressed about our world problems, and if our world's problems have effected your life, than you must make a game plan, take action and do anything that will make your life better, just as I did.

I realized, yes the world has problems, but I refuse to try anymore to drink the world problems away because it will never work. I changed my outlook on life and quit drinking alcohol in which that gave me a clearer mind to try and figure out what route I should take in my new life of sobriety.

I will not let our world's problems get me depressed. Our world will figure out their own problems and it is my job to figure out my own problems and live life happy and not be depressed and drink alcohol to solve any problem I may have.

Once you straighten your life out like I did, everything will start to fall in place. It may not happen right away, but believe me it will happen and those problems and lose of hope will now be just a memory as it is for me living simple, happy and sober.

"Our world will figure out their own problems, and it is my job to figure out my own problems" - Very insightful. That is the way you have to look at it.

I always try to focus in on my life with the intent that it will influence the world. We can't run out and fix the big issues on our own, but if we contribute to our happiness and success, and stand by what is right in our world, then we can influence someone else and they can influence someone else and so on and so forth. That little drop in the bucket can make a big splash in the end.

Of course, if we are negative and use negative tactics to deal with life, then we are putting a negative drop in the bucket, which can turn into a big splash. It works both ways.

Relationshipc - Thanks so much for your comment and for your feedback as well. I like what you said regarding a little drop in a bucket can make a big splash. So true. One step at a time and with that positive attitude things will always work out in the end. It certainly did for me "Thank God!"

I liked this hub a lot. And I think sometimes depression becomes a habit. Somthing happens bad, we react and fall into the pit. When I get up everyday I always give thanks for all the good things in life. We all have issues...that is never going to stop.

soconfident - Thank you for reading and your comment. I am so glad to hear you are doing much better. Any of us can solve just about any problem with that positive thinking and the determination to so.

Thank you for the Vote Up too :)

@carol7777 - You are right on with what you said Carol. I too thank the Lord everyday that I am healthy and sober now. If it wasn't for his help and guidance I would still be heading to rock bottom. Depression is not in my vocabulary anymore :)
