How to Lower Your Blood Sugar Fast

Water and exercise can bring down high blood sugar levels fast.

Plenty of water can help bring down high blood sugar levels.
Plenty of water can help bring down high blood sugar levels.

Quick and natural ways to reduce high glucose levels

Dangerously high blood glucose levels (300+) require emergency medical treatment. However, if you find yourself in a situation where you can't get to a doctor or administer your insulin, here are two ways to lower your blood sugar quickly and naturally.

Flush out the sugar

Drink two glasses (8 oz.) of water quickly. Wait for five minutes and drink a third glass. Urinate as soon as possible. Water dilutes the blood and flushes out the sugar from your bloodstream.

Burn off the sugar

Use up the glucose in your bloodstream with physical movement. Jog, if you can. Ride on a stationary bicycle or do some calisthenics like jumping jacks. If you are confined to a wheelchair, swing your arms in circular movements. Keep up the activity for at least five minutes. Do be careful not to overdo as overexercise can prompt the liver to release more glucose. Test your blood sugar after five minutes of movement.

CAUTION

Often, symptoms of a cold or other illness can mask the signs of dangerously high or low blood sugar levels. This is why there is no substitute for testing. Guessing is dangerous.

Symptoms that require emergency room treatment

If your high blood sugar level does not come down within an hour of the above temporary measures and is accompanied by any of the following symptoms, seek emergency room treatment immediately:

  • vomiting
  • nausea
  • severe diarrhea
  • fever
  • visual problems
  • excessive sleepiness
  • foggy or impaired thinking

If you cannot keep liquids down or cannot lower your blood sugar reading, go immediately to the nearest emergency room. You may be in the early stages of ketoacidosis. If left untreated, high glucose levels or hyperglycemia could cause life-threatening dehydrationm loss of consciousness (diabetic coma) and death. Ketoacidosis cannot be self-treated. You will require intravenous fluids and insulin.

Please do not listen to other diabetics who may tell you that they had high glucose readings (400+) and "were fine." Every body responds differently.

Don't rely on your past ability to "sense" if your blood sugar is too high or too low. Not every episode will be the same. Also, cold symptoms can mask the usual signs. I know. I nearly died from ketoacidosis because I thought I "only had a cold." You can read about it here: "My Ketoacidosis and Diabetic Dangers of the Common Cold."

Why blood sugar spikes

Common reasons for skyrocketing glucose levels include the following:

  • not taking insulin or diabetic medication properly
  • not getting enough exercise
  • not following dietary guidelines for diabetics (eating starches and sugars)
  • malfunction of diabetic pumps
  • change in medications
  • illness or infection
  • surgery
  • stress or trauma
  • pregnancy

Not a replacement for doctor-prescribed care

These are temporary measures for lowering your glucose level and should not be used as a replacement for doctor-prescribed treatment. Keep your blood sugar levels within acceptable levels by taking appropriate medication, regular exercise, plenty of water and a healthy diet monitored by your diabetic counselor.

Do you self-treat your diabetes?

I resort to self-treatment because...

  • I don't have medical insurance or the money to pay for medical care.
  • I have learned to raise or lower my blood sugar by myself.
  • I don't trust doctors or the medical profession and pharmaceutical industry.
  • I believe in natural and homeopathic remedies.
  • I don't self-treat. I follow my doctor's orders.

Natural diabetes remedies

There are other natural, clinically proven ways to lower high blood glucose (although they are NOT fast-acting) that include consuming green and black tea, cinnamon and cactus petal juice (opuntia.) Please read “How to Lower Blood Sugar with Cactus” and "Natural Diabetes Remedies" on Hubpages.com.

I eat a lot of ice each day and drink lots of water. I have also found that I can bring my sugar down by eating a spoon full of peanut butter.

Thanks for the info...I've slacked off going to the gym and because of it, my blood sugar spiked (322 at its worst). I was recently taken off one medication for type 2 because the exercise was helping regulate it naturally, (along with healthier food options too). Please take my advise and get exercise in...it really does help, (when I exercise regualrly I am at 99 to 120 before meals and 160 to 190 after). Thanks again for the tips. It's a terrible feeling when your sugar is too high.

Cinnamon used in a 1/2 teaspoon before meals. And at bedtime..really help so much. I cant advises everyone enough to read up on the benefits of using cinnamon its awesome. I just mix it in a small amount of water with a sweetener. Or you can use it in your foods as well. They have cinnamon pills you can buy. Youtube has wonderful videos to help teach us thing we all need to learn.

wllaurence 6 years ago

If you drink warm to hot water I find its better than cold water for lowering blood sugar, also small amount of salt on meals makes a difference not to much though.someone suggested peanut butter thats probably because of the salt content.stay away from sugar drinks and beers spirits wines to much of them push the sugar up

I was 575 about three months ago. If you panic your blood sugar will go up not down. Drink as much water as you can. If you have the pump could have pulled out. Or if you are on shots your insulin might not have got through. If you are not on insulin then you ate to much sugar. Try going on a low carb diet you can loose alot of wieght too.

I have had a 'diabetic scare' in past few days: sugar level of 11.1, then 6.2 before food & 6.0 after eating rye bread with cucumber & cheese + 1 cup of coffee with 3 sweetners. according to my GP I should adjust my diet, which I've done(yesterday),so I'm not diagnosed with diabetes. My GP did a urine & finger prick test.I woke this morning feeling awful, but unsure whether I'm Hyper- or Hypoglycemic, since I used to have a problem with the latter. After Googling diabetes, I realise that the condition entails dealing with both ends of spectrum & I'm just wondering how to tell whether it's high or low, since I already mistook hyper for hypo? I'm feeling quite desperate, since I work in a busy bar and can't afford to mistake one for the other(as I have already done-I would eat sweets when I began to feel bad, thinking that I was hypoglycemic and couldn't understand why I wasn't getting results), in case I pass out at work...I do not have any way of testing my blood glucose level. Please help!

For any diabetics out there, this might help as well:

http://www.rawfor30days.com/themovie.html

“Simply Raw: Reversing Diabetes in 30 Days is an independent documentary film that chronicles six Americans with diabetes who switch to a diet consisting entirely of vegan, organic, uncooked food in order to reverse disease without pharmaceutical medication. The six are challenged to give up meat, dairy, sugar, alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, soda, junk food, fast food, processed food, packaged food, and even cooked food for 30 days. The film follows each participant’s remarkable journey and captures the medical, physical, and emotional transformations brought on by this radical diet and lifestyle change. We witness moments of struggle, support, and hope as what is revealed, with startling clarity, is that diet can reverse disease and change lives.

The film highlights each of the six before they begin the program and we first meet them in their home environment with their families. Each participant speaks candidly about their struggle to manage their diabetes and how it has affected every aspect of their life, from work to home to their relationships.”

I am wrestling with shingles and I had an epidural yesterday. My blood sugar shot up to 417 last night. I followed your advice, drank the 24oz water, did the treadmill for 20 min, lowered my blood sugar to 343. When I awoke this morning my fasting blood sugar was 242. Much better, thanks!! BTW - normally I am around 140 in the mornings.

Smiley I have had the same issues, if I get low which for me is 85, I start to feel bad, but above 120 makes I start to feel bad

My blood was 30 just a second ago so I've tried injecting about 10 units across multiple sites (arm and stomach). I'm now lifting a few weights and doing sit-ups along with drinking loads of water.

to check if your level is low put your hand out not flat ways and if it is shakeing that means it is low and to decrese it from going high have a bath with cold water not hot not freezing too jus enif where you can have a bath and at eating times when chewing food chew it 32 times before you take it in and no fast food or bad food and no swee drinks also drink water 8 glasses a day you will notice the difference no harm in trying and try exerese as much as often

I've been a diabetic for 29 years. I know that excercising while ur blood sugar is above 200 is extremely dangerous. It can raise it higher. Reason is-the adreneline. It raises ur heart rate therefore it will raise the blood sugar. Any dr.'ll tell u 2 not do anything physical while blood sugar levels r nt good

Hi Martha,

Please read my article on How to Lower Your Blood Sugar with Cactus and How to Lower Your Blood Sugar with Bitter Melon. Both cactus (nopales) and bitter melon are highly effective in lowering your glucose levels. Eat less carbohydrates. In fact, your carb calories should come from vegetables and NOT fruit or anything processed or starchy. Exercise and drink lots of water!

bygman 5 years ago

Don't exercise with high blood sugar levels unless you consult your MD (I'm sure he will tell you not to. Every other comment on here seems to be on target but exercising is going to strain your heart which is already ultra stressed because of high glucose levels.

Kat 5 years ago

If you exercise without sufficient insulin in your body it makes your blood sugars higher..... the advice to exercise when you have a very high blood sugar is crazy!!!! Anything over 14mmol/l means no exercise until it comes down.

Sohail 5 years ago

My sugar was 216 this morning. A brisk walk for 10mins plus the three glasses of water brought it down to 136. I'm a believer now. Thank you.

P. 5 years ago

My mom just had a change in medication for her diabetes and just moments ago she checked her sugar level and it spiked to 217 when she is supposed to be under 140. I told her to try the water but I wonder if it is safe or not for her to exercise due to the many debates here saying exercising could make high blood sugar even higher. If that bit could be made just a bit clearer for us all, i would be grateful.

Mary Douglas 5 years ago

yup, SB medicines has also reduced my sugar level, my novo insulin unit has been reduced.good job.

hope03 5 years ago

Exercise can be dangerous for anyone, depending upon one's current health condition. Too much, vigorous exercise when you're not used to such activity is dangerous whether or not your blood sugar is high. Drinking too much water (gallons) all at once can be dangerous, too. But unless you have pre-existing health problems (heart condition, etc.) it is SAFE to do some walking for TEN minutes and/or drink several glasses of water to help lower your glucose levels when you do not have any insulin in an emergency situation. This article was meant for those types of emergencies when going to the ER or administering insulin is not possible. If your blood sugar is super elevated (over 400) you need to see an ER doctor. But one of my friends' glucose level was 500 and she got on a stationary bike and lowered her b/s that way. Did she take a risk? Yes, but she had no other choice. Be wise when dealing with your diabetes. Seek medical treatment. But for some, it's just not possible.

Lori P. profile image

If you have Type I diabetes, you should NOT exercise heavily without constantly monitoring your blood sugar level. Type I diabetics are insulin dependent. This advice in this article is NOT meant to replace insulin treatment.

Jeanne R. 5 years ago

The last time I took Diabetes medications was in 2004. I was on 11 medications plus Insulin. My blood sugar does not ever come down...It is now 423. Day and night it is very high. Dr wants me to go on Glucophage and Byetta. I walk and drink water all day. It still doesn't come down any..Usually stays at 300 or above.

Teri 5 years ago

very very cold water works well I was 240 and in 30 mins I was 180.

Lori P. 5 years ago

Jeanne, you really must seek medical attention and follow your doctor's advice. These types of self-help articles are in no way substitutions for personal medical care. Also, if your diet is high is glucose-raising foods, drinking water and walking will not offset the blood sugar spikes. Also, this article recommends water and slight exercise in temporary and emergency cases when you cannot get medical care. It does not recommend heavy exercise. HEAVY exercise, indeed, prompts your body to pump glucose into your bloodstream. Please use your common sense and seek regular medical attention to monitor your diabetes.

Marcelle 4 years ago

Diet and exercise are by far the most effective ways to control your diabetes. I have found that cinnamon and peanut butter are not only great as a snack but help in lowering my blood sugar quickly.

Tabby 4 years ago

I just found out I have Diabetes day before yesterday and have no idea what I'm doing. My blood sugar is at 423 and I've just drank four big glasses of water and ate a spoon full of peanut butter with cinnamon sprinkled. I'm crossing my fingers, thanks for the tips!

hope037 4 years ago

Just to let you know, peanut butter is high in sugar which will counter any glucose-lowering benefits of cinnamon. Watch how much you're eating! Most foods will raise your blood sugar so eat to nourish your body, not to lower your blood sugar.

Grace 4 years ago

Thanks for your tips. It really worked fast for me. My postprandial BS dropped to 98m/dl when before I was having 180mg/dl. Thank you so much!!!!

Kathleen 4 years ago

I was feeling really crappy the other day and someone suggested I check my BS... wish I hadn't, it was 518! I went to the doctor the next day, he added a medication. All weekend it was well over 300, and at times again above 500. I have no idea why my sugar has all of a sudden spiked like this. In October my A1C was 6.1. What the heck happened to me??? Can someone help?

Lori P. 4 years ago

Actually, it is a GREAT thing that you checked your BS. 518 is seriously high. Start keeping a food diary. What did your doctor say about the spike? There could be medical conditions behind this (other than diabetes).

I have been a diabetic for many years and recently about 4 days ago I got a head cold and its been really bad.I have not had a cold in years ...well my blood sugars have been very high sometimes over 400+ I been very tired and even talking to myself in sleep. My question was 'Does the common cold cause blood sugars to rise?

Lori P. 4 years ago

I am not a doctor, but it is has been reported that blood sugar levels will rise during an illness. Are you on insulin or medication? You might want to call your physician to see if he will make temporary adjustments to your medication dosage. Hope you feel better soon.

Rich 4 years ago

Has anyone tried applecider vinegar?

Lori P. 4 years ago

I've heard that apple cider vinegar has medicinal benefits but be careful how you take it as it is highly acid. Instead of drinking it straight, try to add it to foods or dilute in liquids. But apple cider vinegar, according to the American Diabetes Association, contains acetic acid which lowers blood glucose by slowing down starch digestion. Thank you, Bob, because I hadn't heard this until you posted and I looked up the info. It will be easy for me to make a nice marinated cucumber salad or salad dressing with apple cider vinegar to eat with meals.

But I can't help it, I spend all money in pub or playing poker. I feel guilty.

pk 4 years ago

My fasting sugar used to be 250 in the morning and pp was 270 but by doing exercise and diet changes has come down to about 200 . the pp level is now 220. Now inspite of maintaining the same regieme of exercise and diet the levels are not coming down further. please advice.

Lori P. 4 years ago

Thank you for posting, pk. I want to emphasize that I am *not* a physician and it is dangerous for me to give medical advice. I can only tell you what works for me. However, in your case, you should consider that since your b/s levels have plateaued at that number, you need to tweak your exercise and diet regimen. "If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting." Keep a food journal. Back off the evening meal carbs (unless you exercise after dinner). My body manufactures glucose in the middle of the night and that causes a spike. This is when I could use a long-acting insulin but I can't for financial reasons. So I get better morning results if I skip the evening meal carb and do not eat after dinner. But I want to stress that every body is different and you will be safer if you consult your doctor. This article was meant for temporary, emergency measures when there is no medical help available. Meanwhile, congratulations for your success in lowering your numbers!

beverly 4 years ago

I WAS NOT FEEELING GOOD AND CHECKED MY BS. IT WAS 165 AND I CAN NOT SEEM TO GET IT BELOW 130. WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

Lori P. 4 years ago

Hi Beverly. I'm sorry but I can't give you medical advice. And there are too many unknowns for me to help you even by offering friendly, non-medical advice! When you say you can't seem to get it below 130, do you mean on a regular basis or only at this particular time? My own B/S levels are a lot higher on a consistent basis, I'm afraid. Your B/S number of 130, while being a little higher than what your doctor might want, is not life-threatening for a one-time event. It would help if you kept a record of your B/S numbers, time of day that you are testing, foods eaten prior to testing, etc. so you can begin to see any patterns to your blood sugar numbers.

headaches, high sugar level, laziness, I have gone through all this . This is 1st time in my life of 28 yrs diabetes , I have managed to reduce the dose of my 3 tablets. this is all bcos of herbal medicine which I have started fro Mr. SB SIDH from India. He is not a doctor but he manages to reach the root of problem. He has some thing supernatural to hunt the problem out.If I'm not wrong he is same guy , whom I had met in Dubai once. I know him. same face . he was dealing with Encyclopedia.

Now I have made my own medicine with parsley leaf, cumin seed, holi basil leaf, mustard seed. It doesn't work with other people but my sugar level has dramatically reduced , which pushed me to reduce my tablet dose first time in last 28 yrs.

my sugar count is 185 is this really really high. If so what do you recommend to do to bring it to normal (what is the normal count).

Is this your pre- or post-meal reading? It's not terribly high, although higher than what a doctor recommends. A reading of 80-100 pre-meal is good (up to 120) is acceptable. Two hours after a meal, a good reading is under 140. Managing diabetes can get complicated, especially without doctor care. To keep it simple: eat small portions of nutritious foods at regular intervals to nourish your body. Drink plenty of water (but don't overdo). And get regular exercise--daily. Get your weight to a healthy number.

To get your blood sugar down and keep it down to within normal range on a regular basis takes a lot of monitoring. There are many things you can do but start by keeping a food and exercise journal along with your glucose readings. Here are some very general guidelines: Do not overeat or eat large portions at one sitting. Eat foods that are nutritional and lower on the GI (glycemic index) scale. Stay away from simple high carbs like sugar, white rice, pastas. Exercise regularly but not excessively, especially in a single session. To get a more complete idea of what you can do, read some books on diabetes. I suggested a few links. There is no way I can give you comprehensive guidance in this short post! You didn't mention if you were on medication or if you take regular glucose readings throughout the day or only once a day. Does your blood sugar drop too low ever? All that matters greatly when designing a diabetes management program. Please see a doctor for regular management. But the suggestions I offered above would be good advice from any medical professional.

Great tips, cinnamon works well on oatmeal in the morning. I just had cortisone shots in both knees. Went up to 462, now down to 336. My doctor gave me a sliding scale for using insulin when it is high. I take cortizone shots in my knees every 3 to 8 months depending on when I need them. For me this is temporary and I follow what I'm supposed to do. Thank heavens it is only every so many months. Normally my A1C is way under 6. I'll try the pickles because I like to snack on them and I'm wanting a good snack right now.

Joyce, I'm not sure that showering (being in water) was the reason why your mother's glucose levels fell. It was more likely the activity of showering. She was moving her muscles and using the glucose.

As for you, Homeopathy, I have no doubt that there are homeopathic treatments for diabetes but I cannot endorse any particular treatment. Everyone must choose for himself the best course of action, researching the risks and benefits and consulting a qualified, licensed physician.

The best way to have almost "normal" blood sugar levels is to follow a very low carbohydrate diet - You can google Dr. Bernstein's Diabetes Solution and also google the diet he prescribes - Follow the diet and see miracles in your blood sugar levels - I would be interested to hear from anyone following a low carbohydrate diet

jasskenya 3 years ago

Be careful of "miracle mysterious "Ayurvedic" cures from India - Stuff like Neem will lower your blood sugar levels but will also reduce your kidney function in a very short time

I would like to throw out a few things that can help control blood sugar levels but before I do, always double check with your doctor before taking any additional supplents too, the ones I listed have really helped some lower their blood sugar & if you're already taking insulin or glyburide or anything along those lines, this in conjunction with the following could possibly lower it too much so definitely run any new SUPPLEMENTS past them before trying to make sure they won't interact. :

1. Cinnamon is a big hit with blood sugar but it's often wise to take with Chromium. Chromium plays a big part with blood glucose managing so adding the supplement can really aid a lot. *Some stores even sell Cinnamon & Chromium as one too

2. Gymnema Sylvestre- MANY have had success w/ this supplement helping them lower their blood sugar & this also has little to no side effects. This is definitely something I'd highly recommend checking out.

3. Bitter Melon- the pills have also helped many lower their sugar levels

4. Alpha Lipoic Acid- this is a very power antioxidant that can help relieve & possibly prevent diabetic neuropathy. This is supplement every diabetic should talk to their doctors about possibly trying.

5. B-Vitamin Complex- This helps the body function & gives many benefits. It's especially important for those on Metformin to take a B-Complex because Metformin can lower your body's B-12. So if not a B-complex, at least talk to your doctor about incorporating B-12 supplements.

6.. Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar- there's many studies that indicate that taking before meals can lower post meal blood sugars. There's also other studies that show taking it before bed, can result in lower fasting blood sugar readings in the morning. You MUST dilute with water before taking though, many studies recommend 2 tablespoons in 12 ounces of water. It's best to use a straw & try to drink as fast as you can. Also be sure to rinse your mouth out with plain water after drinking up so that you rinse any residue of the Vinegar off your teeth. Don't immediately brush, it can push the acid even further into your enamel, instead swish with water a few times & wait at least 1 hour before brushing.

**Lastly, you don't need to spend a fortune on supplements. Many specialty stores are often higher for the same product that's 50% cheaper in your grocery store. So when it comes to many products like Cinnamon, Chromium, & B-Vitamin Complex- you can often find them at places like, Walgreens, CVS, & your local grocery stores for Buy 1 Get 1 Free. Check around for vitamin sales. They go on sale pretty frequently. Another good place for stuff like Gymnema, Bitter Melon, Alpha Lipoic Acid, & Apple Cider Vinegar, is Swanson Vitamins. Their website usually has the best price & pretty good quality. As always though check with your doctor & I really help this information can help anyone who needs it. Diabetes unfortunately does run in my family but the things I've listed have given a lot of results so Good Luck to everyone & God Bless :)

Thank you for some great contributions! I do want to add, however, to be careful with certain natural supplements. Cinnamon and bitter melon both have been known to cause stomach upset, and in some cases, can have severe gastric side effects. Bitter melon shouldn't be taken by pregnant women. It can cause serious low glucose drops.

They can be helpful to those with stronger digestive tracts, though! Cinnamon pills exacerbated my ulcer!

Hi Lori P.

A high level of sugar in the blood is a serious health issue and one can find really valuable advice in your article on how to take care of this threatening condition on the spot.

I totally agree with you on that, it is highly recommended that any sufferer visits a doctor. This problem is not temporary and that means special long-term medical care and advice is definitely needed.

Each patient is different and responds in a completely unique way to various medications, whether they are medically prescribed or not. The different systems and organs of the human body are more interrelated than we think. Taking medicine for a health condition that affects a specific organ can have adverse effects on another organ somewhere else in the body.

On the other hand, applying traditional remedies can have results. However, if it is not an officially proved, accepted and licensed treatment, which is applied by general or specialist physicians, those remedies can have the opposite or no effects at all.

Even certified physicians are obliged to follow generally accepted and tested methods among their fellow professionals.

Patients are entitled to receive this type of treatment.

Innovative thinking is a good thing, however it is not a game to test it, when it comes to playing with lives.

Absolutely, Information! Each person responds differently! One person can pass out at 300 ml. while another can walk into the ER with a reading of 900 ml.

I landed in the ICU for four days due to ketoacidosis! I got a flu virus that spiked my glucose levels while causing me to vomit. Dehydration set it: ketoacidosis! I was too sick even to THINK about testing my blood sugar level at the time. I thought I only had a cold.

Please let this be a lesson to you all. Don't guess with your glucose readings. TEST, TEST, TEST! This article can help if your glucose goes marginally higher than normal but if you have dangerously high readings, go immediately to the nearest emergency room! Thank you for the detail and advice given in this hub. My mother is late in life Diabetic, and I have a friend who frequently has spikes and keeps Coke by her side. It's good to be aware of the symptoms and the treatment as this disease is becoming so prevalent. Up, interesting and useful

The 2 best emergency measures should be done before those others. First, drink 1 ounce of hard, low sugar booze, such as a shot of straight vodka OR 2 ounces of very dry (almost sour) white wine. No, they tastes awful! But it is not for the taste but as medicine. Your liver will think it has been poisoed and will stop working on anything but removing the booze from your system, ( it will stop dumping out glucose) Second do the water trick as mentioned above while in a pool of very hot water. Please only do the hot bath if someone can supervise as BG can lower dramatically from a hot tub and you could go to low. Take your blood sugar every 15 -20 minutes to monitor it.

Remember back in the 1970s when hot tubs first became popular? Many would drink while in the hot tub, pass out and sometimes drown. They were going hypo and did not realize it. I am speaking of non-diabetics.... these are emergency measures only! A good low carb diet and moderate exercise are your best bet for controlled diabetes.

My first A1C was 13+ and my last (this month) was 5.0 this is not even in pre-diabetic ranges now. A good lie carb diet and weight lifting can remove all diabetes symptoms. No symptoms=no complications!

Mary, congratulations on lowering your A1C! That is fantastic! Yes, alcohol will lowering blood glucose, too, I've heard. I hadn't heard about the hot tub method. Very interesting. Thanks for reading!

Thank you for posting this. I actually needed a quick fix so I tried the water suggestion that you wrote about. I'm starting to feel better all ready.

Thanks for trying and for commenting. The water trick is better than the exercise as for some people, exercising can raise the blood sugar if overdone.

Had a steroid shot today for a trigger finger and was warned that to watch my blood sugar (I am type 2). It has shot up to 285 and found this website. Using the information to lower my blood sugar. Thanks for the input. I do listen to my doctors but its after hours and I also believe it applying herbal and homeopathic to my meds. Thanks so much for what I consider to be sensible solutions

Thank you, Ma Ree 922. I, too, prefer herbal and homeopathic health solutions. Actually, most manufactured pharmaceuticals are synthetic versions of plant derivatives anyway. In China, many hospital laboratories look mostly like restaurant kitchens with boiling pots of water into which the pharmacists add herbs and plant material to cook down into medicines.
