Useful Hub, and so true. I lost 6lbs in three weeks by walking briskly for 30 minutes everyday, not eating between meals and drinking only water or herbal tea. Unfortunately I went on holiday for two weeks and have put it all back on! However, I'm starting again and if I can make it a habit, then holidays will not longer be a weight gain time. Voted up

Setting a weight loss goal of ten pounds is not real hard, a good, achievable goal even if you want to lose more. Once you've lost that 10 pounds, you'll be on the way! I lost 10 pounds just through exercise! Burn baby burn! I feel so much better and don't have to cut down on eating. Of course, I never eat carry-out food and very little processed food.

Every single one of these tips is helpful. I find that eating healthy makes it easy to maintain my weight because the unhealthy options are off limits and there are limited food choices. Thank you for such great feedback! Yes, unhealthy foods do tend to leave one drained. I find if you have a 'clean" diet then your body will crave what it needs.e.g. When I need oil in my diet I crave popcorn or fried potatoes. I've been a vegetarian for over 35 years. Wow, time sure flies. My diet hasn't always been perfect but you stated exactly how it is!.

This was a good article. You covered all the target areas and included sound advice. On 1/6/2014, I wrote a detailed weight loss hub - diet included - and challenged readers to try it for a month. The hub gets good views but few comments. The month is up next week and alas, no one took me up on the offer. :( I have had very good results with the diet plan which covers most of the points you make in this hub. Voted up.

I eat healthy and a lot I might add, plus I get plenty of exercise. I always tell people that if they hung out with me for a month (especially in the summer) they would lose at least 10 pounds.
