Incredible Positions of Yoga

Some Days Ago i was thinking that i must start yoga because i was reading the health benefits of yoga at some site, so i started browsing for yoga positions and tutorials online to help me out but i was surprised by looking such pictures which you can see below, potions in YOGA ? Huh, Can i do such positions, of course i can never do like this but Yoga is really helping me in relaxing my Mind...

You are so right Nilum ... those 'impossible' positions are only for someone who has a very flexible and athletic body. They are not for the common man and woman. The basic exercises are good enough for us, and they are not taxing at all.

Thanks Jaspal, Ya its really hardest this to do, but people do after doing a lot of practice , but i'm not going to work hard for such postures

Yoga positions huh? Looks painful. I respect anyone who can do that, but I'm sticking to running and strength training. Yoga is good though because flexibility and balance are important too.

Oh Thanks, yeah they are painful but people do it, It depends upon hobby of a person or passion towards a thing.. If you devote yourself to a thing, you would be successive !!!

Yikes, that looks painful. I'm too old to start something like that. But I admire anyone that can and does do it. Very good nilum.

Dear Nilum, you do not need to make so incredible difficult Yoga exercises. I practice Hatha Yoga more than 25 years and I do not do them... not necessary. Playing Yoga you just make your body, mind, soul and life much more healthier!

no no, you somewhere wrong, i said i just wished to do so and i do only those thing which relax me mentally, i know there's really no need to do such painful things..

Oh, I see, I wrote that because you could do all these yoga positions without any pain when you are on the right stage. And there is one more thing, it is not the best way to lean about that stuff online or even reading books.

When you make any yoga exercise your thoughts should be concentrated in one and only one point of your body and you have to breathe properly. That all you can learn only from a personal trainer who is much higher level and has a lot of experience in teaching beginners... just to be a good in yoga is not enough.

em really affraid by doing any of these, its really horriable ... I don't know so much about, i don't have picture to upload here im currently doing only that, its sitting and stretching hands and placing on knees, whats it name, i again don't know but it really relaxes me and em happy with that only,

The position you do is only for meditation, so called asana for meditation, integration of the mind and body. Some people named it Lotus, but Lotus is a bit different. The correct name of this posture is Sukhasana. Performing it you have just to breathe as you usually do that.

Ya, You 100% right, I'm really impressed that you have such great knowledge of YOGA and its also nice that you doing it from last 25 years, Ya i do asana daily for 10-20 minutes only and take sometime deep and sometime normal breath, Actually due to my busy schedule of education and JOB i'm really not getting time to read about it in detail..

I'm hopeful you would surely guide me
