I'm no Doctor and please don't take this as medical advice but, I would think that the heat would help in easing the pain in your feet. WebMD points to tiny tears in the ligaments causing inflammation as the root cause. So, anything that reduces inflammation would seem to be the way to go. You might try some natural pain relievers that reduce inflammation. You can find more info on that here -
