Infrared Heating Pads - A Natural Healing Heat

Natural Healing from the Far Infrared

Remember when you were a kid, swimming in cold water on a summers day? You would stay in the water splashing and playing until you were almost blue. Then, rush out of the water and lay in the sun. You could feel the waves of energy washing over your body, penetrating deeply into your skin. It felt sooooo goooood!

Far infrared heating pads use the same natural energy that comes from the sun to reduce pain and diminish the effects of many chronic health conditions. The use of infrared heat in treating many health conditions has been extensively studied and the results are well documented.

Infra-Red Heating Pads Overview

How Does Infrared Heating Work?

Heating pads that use infrared light as the source of heat use infrareds ability to penetrate deeply into muscle tissue. Studies show that infrared heat can penetrate up to 3 inches. The energy is emitted as light but transforms into heat and absorbed into the body. The heat causes capillaries to expand improving blood circulation and in turn promoting healing and general wellness in your body.

Caution

*****A Word of Caution for Diabetics*****

Generally speaking diabetics have poor circulation in their feet and hands and so have a loss of sensitivity. Folks who have advanced diabetes should pay close attention when using any heating pad because they are unable to feel just how hot the hands and feet are becoming.

Many Conditions can Benefit from Using Infrared Heat

There are many conditions that can benefit from the use of a infrared heating pad. Given the nature of some conditions relief can come almost immediately while with others it can take a few days to see some improvement.

What conditions can be helped?

  • Back Pain
  • Bursitis
  • Carpal Tunnel
  • Constipation
  • Crohn's Disease
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Golfers elbow
  • Hypertension
  • Menstrual Cramps
  • Sinus conditions
  • Sciatica
  • Sprains and strains of all types

Generally speaking any type of condition that involves inflammation.

What is the Proper Way to Use Infrared Heating Pads?

The best thing about infrared heating pads is that they are soft constructed. They can bend and be shaped to the contour of any part of your body. Just wrap or drape it over the area that needs attention and wait for the heat.

You can use them while driving, watching a movie at home or pretty much any place where you can set still for a few moments. This comes in handy while your traveling on those long commutes.

I'm no Doctor and please don't take this as medical advice but, I would think that the heat would help in easing the pain in your feet. WebMD points to tiny tears in the ligaments causing inflammation as the root cause. So, anything that reduces inflammation would seem to be the way to go. You might try some natural pain relievers that reduce inflammation. You can find more info on that here - http://hubpages.com/health/all-natural-pain-reliev...
