The Benefits of Juicing

Juicing is the simple process of taking raw fruits and vegetables and making juice out of them. There are even special machines that are designed to turn the entire vegetable or fruit into juice including seeds and leaves. This way every bit of the nutrients that are found in the fruits and vegetables are transferred into the juice.

Juicing can reduce the risk of cancer

There are a number of benefits to this type of healthy activity and drink. The first thing is the ingredients most juicing involves vegetables like cucumber, celery, spinach, lettuce, bean sprouts, kale, bak choi, broccoli, cabbage and other green vegetables. All of these vegetables are full of things like nutrients, enzymes, vitamins and minerals. The best part is that because these vegetables are in liquid form they are easy for the body to process and digest quickly. That means that all those wonderful good for you nutrients end up in your system within 30 minutes.

Also by liquefying or juicing the vegetables a person is able to get significantly more into a single serving. Since most American's only get 1.5 servings of the fruits and vegetables that, they need. A few glasses of juice made from fresh fruits and vegetables can easily give a person all the vegetables and fruits that they need quickly and easily.

There are a number of studies that have proven that the elements within fruits and vegetables help to reduce the risk of number serious illnesses including cancer and heart disease. Another thing to consider is the amount of enzymes that are found in freshly squeezed fruits and vegetables. Enzymes are what help to digest food, and they act as a catalyst for a large number of bodily functions. Anything in the body that has a metabolic function is going to use enzymes. Fresh raw fruits and vegetables are a good source since enzymes are actually highly temperature sensitive and will die if cooked. Steaming or cooking vegetables to temperatures, over 114 degrees will kill the enzymes. This is why juicing has such benefit. The vitamins, enzymes and other nutrients, which are normally destroyed during the cooking process, are preserved.

Juicing provides water which is essential for good health

Of course, fruits and vegetables are a good source of the normal regular nutrients the body needs. Things like Vitamin C, A, E as well as beta-carotene and other minerals like iron copper and magnesium.

Also juicing helps to remove materials that cannot be digested by the body. For some people this may not seem like a benefit since indigestible parts of plants usually end up working as fiber for the body but it does mean that more of the nutrients you are looking for get into the body. When you eat a carrot for example, due to the digestion process you lose about 99% of the beta-carotene you could get out of it. By juicing 100% of the beta-carotene is made available to the body.

Water is essential for good health and most people do not get enough. This is just another benefit of juicing since it provides the water that is needed without the substances found in other beverages. Most of the stuff that is normally taken in during the day such as coffee, soda and tea requires extra water for the body to eliminate. This causes an even greater level of dehydration to an already dehydrated system. While you do not want to intake too much water since this can cause your body to flush out things that are good for you as well. You do want to make sure that you get enough.

Juicing also benefits while fasting

There is also a benefit to juicing while fasting. While drinking anything but water during a fast takes it outside of a true fast. Having only juiced fresh fruits and vegetables can be an excellent way for people who may not be able to handle the stress of a full true fast where only water is consumed.

Fresh juice made from vegetables and fruits can provide a great pick up during long days, and especially when you travel. Traveling in any form puts stress on the body. Juicing can also help to provide specialized nutrition to take care of specific problems. This is done through simply using a recipe. It is important in order to get the full benefit that you consume the juice as soon as it is made. However, if you cannot or want to take it with you for lunch to the job or as your drink on the plane be sure to keep it around room temperature. This will help it to last a bit longer but the longer the time is from the juicing to consumption the less benefit you will receive from the juice.

Green Juices the most commonly created with juicing contain a large amount of chlorophyll, which helps the body to detoxify itself. It also helps to detoxify the body, and help to rebuild blood cells. There have been some studies that show it can help to remove mold, parasites, and exotoxins and can even help in the prevention and removal of cancer cells.

Juicing maintains the pH balance of the body

Juicing also provides a great way to maintain the ph balance of the body. Preventing the body from becoming over-acidic is a good way of helping to maintain good health. You can also receive a number of other benefits from fresh fruit and vegetable juice. The hormones needed to produce insulin as well as natural antibiotics can be found in fresh fruits and vegetables.

Juicing also provides a number of other elements that can help in preventing the premature aging of cells. This is in addition to the benefits that are gained simply from having a body that is free from harmful toxic substances. Juicing has a number of healthy benefits. It can also be a great way to get all the nutrients that the body needs, while keeping it clean of toxins, and providing it with a greater ability to give you what you need. Juicing is also a great way to keep the body energized, the mind clear and the body stress free
