Only a few countries throughout the world produce these fruits and having access to them is truly a privilege. The kiwi is a little powerhouse of nutrition with numerous health boosting benefits from protecting your cardiovascular system, to helping asthma. Dig in and see for yourself how they can improve your quality of life and be a smart addition to your healthy eating habits.

Nutritional Powerhouse

Kiwi fruits are loaded with vitamins, minerals, and flavonoids which all have a positive impact on our well being. An interesting fact is that kiwis actually contain more vitamin C than oranges, yet another reason to include them more often into your diet. If you are looking for sources for this particular vitamin other than oranges, eating kiwis can provide you with a little variety. They are also rich in potassium and are a good source of beta-carotene.

Lower Your Risk For Cancer

Kiwis feature a variety of phytonutrients which can protect DNA from damage related to oxygen. This is a strong benefit of the kiwi as this can help reduce the risk of cancers because your defenses are more secure. Eating fruits regularly is one of the best ways in helping to prevent illness and disease.

Healthy Eyes

Lutein is an important nutrient we need to include in our diets more often in order to maintain our vision. Kiwis are a good source of lutein and can aid us in this regard. So take comfort in eating them, because as we age it becomes more crucial to keep track of our daily nutrition. When we fail to do this, little problems with our bodies creep up on us and chances for illnesses increase.

Improves Digestion

Fiber is a critical ingredient in keeping our digestive systems in top shape and it enables our bodies to efficiently absorb nutrients. It's also helpful in ridding the body of toxins which can reduce the risk of colon cancer. Kiwis are a great source of fiber and because they are so tasty, getting this ingredient can be easy to eat and satisfying.

Great Skin Benefits

The amazing benefits which kiwi provide for the skin comes from its vitamin E content. Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant which can aid against skin degeneration as we age. Some of the best things you can do for your skin outside of a natural based cosmetic is to include more fruits in your diet as well as drinking plenty of water. Kiwis can be enjoyed for many health benefits and the fact that they can improve the appearance of your skin makes them all the more appealing.

Why Eat Them?

Many people love the kiwi as it's unique compared to most other fruits. It's neat how they come in their own packaging which nature designs so intelligently. The taste is unlike any other fruit you may have tried before. There's a sweetness layered with a little sour and the juiciness is refreshing. You can even dig into them with a spoon and it becomes a natural dessert while nourishing your health. When purchasing kiwis and other fruits, aim for organic as they are free of pesticides and retain more nutrition. I love the kiwi, but learning how to eat it is a bit of a challenge. I never know whether to eat seeds and all or take the time to sort the seeds out.

Did not know the other benefits either. Thank you.

Voted up and useful.

Olde Cashmere, I tried the tips you gave me for eating the kiwi, was amazed at the simplicity and that I did not understand it before. Kept thinking I had to remove the seeds and not eat the skin. Funny how the little things can stump you, sometimes.

Thank you again.
