Time to Reflect
It is realistic to take your time to make changes. Before you forge ahead, it is important to make sure you made peace with your past. Give yourself permission to let go, to miss the things you loved before the setback, and to go forward slowly. It is emotionally healthy to break from your past. Take time to reflect and think about your prior situation and the reality of your future issues. Rushing into changes too fast, will most likely lead to mindless mistakes or taking on obligatory roles because you think you should, or because people tell you what you need to be doing. In life coaching courses, it is all about knowing and trusting yourself. This is the time to gain the confidence in yourself, to be your own person and to stand up to others who may be dictating your life. Be honest with yoursel,. Know what you want for yourself, and who you truly are.
You know the answers. Now you need to guide yourself towards the bigger picture that includes making decisions that are right for you..
Friends and people close to you are an excellent sources of support. Bounce things off of them, let them help you through these life changes. Make them a part of your life coaching course. Sometimes you may just need someone to listen and not give you advice. Sometimes you may need their guidance and objectivity. Let your friends tell you, you deserve better. Then make sure you believe it yourself.
Lyrics to Chicago's "I've Been Searching for So Long"
As my life goes on I believe
Somehow something's changed
Something deep inside
Ooh a part of me
There's a strange new light in my eyes
Things I've never known
Changin' my life
I've been searchin'
To find an answer
Now I know my life has meaning
Now I see myself as I am
Feeling very free
Life is everything
Ooh it's meant to be
When my tears have come to an end
I will understand
What I left behind
Part of me
I've been searching
To find and answer
Now I know my life has meaning
Don't you know I'm hell yeah
For an answer
To the question
For our minds
Baby it's true
It's only natural
It's only natural baby, yeah
Take a long time
