Life is Too Short To.....

This is just a fun, light hearted hub to help you realize whats REALLY important to you in life. Feel free to "fill in the blank" and add your own reasons why life is too short to....

Now, in no particular order, here's my list:

Life is Too Short To.....

-Use cheap toilet paper - (or ANY cheap paper product, for that matter!)

-Drink cheap wine - (cheap wine makes a cheap drunk!)

-Buy used tires - (this one is just plain foolish, too!)

-Wear shoes that hurt your feet - (you women KNOW what I mean!)

-Eat bad food in a restaurant - (send it back!)

-Walk around with a bad haircut - (if nothing else, put it up or wear a hat!)

-Sleep on a lumpy mattress - (which can also lead to back problems!)

-Wear a bad-fitting bra - (again, you ladies will appreciate this one!)

-Hang around negative people - (misery does NOT love company!)

-Eat cheap chocolate - (it should be illegal to even MAKE cheap chocolate!)

-Work in a job you hate - (sadly, SO many people are doing this!)

-Use artificial vanilla flavoring - (yes, there IS a difference when you bake!)

-Watch mindless TV - (ESPECIALLY reality and talk shows!)

-Keep your dog chained to a tree - (not to mention just plain mean and cruel!)

-Worry about getting sand in your shoes - (go barefoot!)

-Watch others having fun - (join in or create your own!)

-Wear uncomfortable underwear - (better not to wear ANY at all!)

-Wait on the telephone/tv/internet repairman all day - (they never come til the last minute anyway!)

-Eat cheap red hot dogs - (that turn pink after they sit in boiling water for 5 minutes!)

-Wash your hair with cheap shampoo - (its mostly detergent - better to use it to wash your car!)

-Use a dollar-store umbrella in a downpour - (they ALWAYS come apart!)

-Wear socks with holes in the toes - (don't you HATE that?!)

-Work on the weekends - (especially doing house work!)

I'm sure I could come up with lots more, but I'm anxious to read some of YOURS, so I'll get you started -

Life is too short to.......

Life might be too short...

but you can enjoy every second of it even without any toilet paper...

it is called a challenge...

to worry about how you look all the time (nobody cares or notices because people who fuss over looks are busy worrying about themselves and people who don't , well they don't really care)

to rush in everything that you do (life will go the way it wants to, you can't really change its course, though you might think that you do!!)

to hold grudges (everyone has just this one life, so let go , and love with a free, open heart)

not 'say i love you' enough( before that you were wishing that you could find somebody to do just 'that' with)

Life is too short to not enjoy your family. Sad to say a lot of people are neglecting their family in exchange for work or something else.

Life is too short to not believe in God. People are risking their eternal life the way they spend their life now.

Have a nice day!

Life is too short to . . . Not show the people you love that you love them.

Life is too short to . . . Not seek the Lord's purpose for your life.

Life is too short to . . . Not make the best use of the gifts God gave you.

Thank you for this thought-provoking exercise. I enjoyed it.

Thanks for the comments everyone - I loved and agree with all your responses! So sad that a lot of people don't realize just how short life really is, until its too late!

Loved this hub! I'm older than you but completely enjoy my life and the reflective nature that is inherent in getting older. I waste no time now unless my goal is to waste time and do nothing....and then it's really not a waste, is it?

Great attitude and I will enjoy following you.

Thanks Billy - I totally agree - now that I'm entering my "fabulous fifties", getting older is more of a blessing than a regret! And wasting time is something we've EARNED - enjoy it! Thanks for dropping by and being a fan!
