Liquid diet plan for weight loss
Liquid diets have fallen in and out of fashion over the years as new diet trends emerge. Liquid diets provide fast weight loss for a special event or as a jump start for a long-term diet plan. I have used them effectively for short term weight loss (1 week) to kick start my fitness regime after a period of inactivity or for immediately before a holiday.
Be warned that liquid diets were initally designed for medical used to prep a patient for surgury and were never intended for weight loss purposes. For that reason if you have underlying health issues or are serverly overwieght then you should consult a health proffessional before embarking upon this diet plan.
This diet plan is best used in conjuntion with an exercise regime incorporating resistance exercise and cardiovascular exercise. It is a low calorie plan so you may experience a drop in energy while doing it and if you feel severely tired or faint you should stop. However, if you do it you properly you will lose about 10lb per week or within 10 days. In order to follow the liquid diet plan you will need the following equipment:
The liquid diet plan
The plan is divided into 6-8 meals throughout the day eating every 2-3 hours. This is to increase your metabilisim to increase fat loss by having lots of smaller meals instead of a few large ones and to ensure that you don't get too hungry and binge eat!
Meal 1: Breakfast smoothie
Blend together 1 cup of oatmeal, 2 scoop whey protein powder, 2 cup skimmed milk, 1 cup frozen berries,1 teaspoon flaxseed oil, 1 bannana, some chopped nuts and some ice
Meal 2: natural low fat yogurt, any fruit juice,
Meal 3: Soups (not the ones with noodles and other solids in)
Meal 4: Whey protein shake 2 scoops whey powder and a bananna, skimmed milk, ice blended
Meal 5: Dinner smoothie
Blend together 1 cup of chopped celery and carrots, 2 raw eggs, flaxseed oil, 1 cup sweet tinned fruits (pineapple cup frozen tropical fruits.
(this isn't as bad as it sounds the sweet fruits cancel out the taste of the celery and carrots so it works quite nicely. Celery is useful for weight loss as it helps detox the body)
Meal 6: protein shake 2 whey scoops with skimmed milk or water
if you are still hungry snacks can include additional low fat yoghurt or soups. Try to make your own smoothies instead of buying as they are healthier.
In addition to this liquid diet plan you should comsume 64 ounces (about 8 cups) of water per day and drink loads of teas, especially green tea for its antitoxidant properties.
The liquid diet plan should only be followed for a short period of time (I do it for around 5-7 days. if you are finding it too hard maybe follow it until dinner and then have a healthy solid meal in the evening. You should find you achieve rapid weight loss but do be careful if you feel faint or dizzy.
