Lissa Rankin M.D. Tells About What is Missing in Modern Medicine

Lissa Rankin M.D. Sees Something is Wrong
Lissa Rankin M.D. could see that something was wrong with modern medicine. Then there was this point where things happened around her but not to her and it destroyed her health.
Her 16 year old dog died, her healthy young brother had full-blown liver failure, her father passed away, she had a daughter with a c-section and her husband cut off 2 fingers with a saw. This was written November 9, 2015.
She got sick and the doctors could not help her. She quit medicine and started what she needed to do to feel better. She did a lot of research on part of medicine that deals with the mind, spirit and attitude and learned a great deal. She found out that is even more important to health even though what you do physically is also important.
Now I knew that how much you enjoy life affects how long you live. But since I had already made my happiness the main priority of my life, I have had a minimum of health problems. Dr. Rankin got back into medicine but with whole new approach. She had one patient that was doing everything right, including eating a raw vegan or raw plant-based diet. That is what I feel is the best diet and many have had more benefits from this diet.
See Health Benefits of a Raw Food Diet to see why this can improve your health. Part of her new approach is to get to know her patient well. So she said to this patient that the reason that she has health problems was that she was in an abusive relationship and could not forgive her father for sexually abusing her many times. This doctor did a great deal of reading and research about the other part of medicine.
She even researched Anita Moorjani who spent 4 years fighting cancer and died. Then something told her that her cancer was cured and could die or return to life. She returned and her cancer healed very quickly and she wrote a book, Dying to Be Me. To read my article on it called Dead Woman Comes Back To Life.
There must be health benefits listening to her which you can do without any cost. Now cancer is not a laughing matter but this story that she tells is kind of funny. She tells about a guy that was going to die any day of cancer. He hears about a medication being tested with a lot of promise, so he wants to try it. His doctor says that you cannot be in danger of dying of cancer within 3 days. But this guy was, but he kept insisting on the doctor getting it.
So the doctor did get it and the guy tried it. The next day his tumors were reduced in size by 50%. In 10 days his cancer his completely gone. That proves that this drug really works. There can be no doubt about it. Then the latest news is that this drug or medication is not proving to be effective. So this guy's cancer returns. So his doctor has the idea of fooling him into getting better. So he wants him to try a special concentrated form of this drug (of course it is still the same drug).
So the guy takes it and his cancer is cured. Then months later the official report on this medication said that it was not effective at all. So this guy dies of cancer the next day. Of course the medical people know all about this. That is why they do double blind studies. This is where they permanently blind the person getting it and receiving it. Just kidding! It means that neither giver or receiver knows if it is the real medicine or the fake medicine that is also called a sugar pill.
You may think that they test a drug to get see how effective it is against a condition or disease. Actually this does not matter. They are testing it to see how effective it is against the placebo. Wikipedia says:
A placebo (/pləˈsiboʊ/ plə-see-boh; Latin placēbō, "I shall please"[2] from placeō, "I please")[3][4] is a simulated or otherwise medically ineffectual treatment for a disease or other medical condition intended to deceive the recipient. Sometimes patients given a placebo treatment will have a perceived or actual improvement in a medical condition, a phenomenon commonly called the placebo effect or placebo response.
So Dr. Lissa Rankin says that effect should be used. She also talks about the nocebo effect. This is where a person is harmed by the doctor's expectations. She also tells a story where triplets are born on Friday the 13th. The doctor says that they are very unlucky and will die before they are 30. He gives the age each will die at and each of them die the day before that birthday. That is an example of the nocebo effect.
Albert Schwetzer said "We doctors, we do nothing. We only help and empower the doctor within."

The Body Can Heal Itself
The above is what Lissa Rankin M.D. says. I talk about the body's intelligence in an article I have about not getting colds and the flu. I say that the person will not get the flu unless he needs to.
I guess that I have not needed to since I have not had the flu, cold or headaches in 15 years. Read my article How to Avoid the Flu. Your immune system that fights off cancer, fights the flu. It can be greatly improved by getting enough sleep and vitamin D.
This doctor wants to reform medicine. She already has to some extent just by doing lectures and writing books. Amazon.com says about her book Mind Over Medicine:
We’ve been led to believe that when we get sick, it’s our genetics. Or it’s just bad luck—and doctors alone hold the keys to optimal health. Therefore when Dr. Lissa Rankin’s own health started to suffer, she turned to Western medical treatments, but what she found was that they not only failed to help; they made her worse. So she decided to take matters into her own hands.
Through her research, Dr. Rankin discovered that the health care she had been taught to practice was missing something crucial: a recognition of the body’s innate ability to self-repair and an appreciation for how we can control these self-healing mechanisms with the power of the mind. To better understand this phenomenon, she explored peer-reviewed medical literature and found evidence that the medical establishment had been proving that the body can heal itself for over 50 years.
Using extraordinary cases of spontaneous healing, Dr. Rankin shows how thoughts, feelings, and beliefs can alter the body’s physiology. She lays out the scientific data proving that loneliness, pessimism, depression, fear, and anxiety damage the body, while intimate relationships, gratitude, meditation, sex, and authentic self-expression flip on the body’s self-healing processes.
You can watch her videos on Youtube at no cost and read her books. In the article below, Is the Key to Happiness Being in the Present Moment, tells about a mediation that I have been doing since age 20. Also at 12 I started doing yoga that is well known in helping a person feel more peace and less stress.
