Listen To Your Heart And Others In Helping You Get Sober

Updated on August 13, 2013

If you want a better life and live it sober, then you need to listen to your heart and others in helping you get sober. You need to get yourself out of denial and start to listen to other peoples words of wisdom.

These people such as family and friends are telling the alcoholic that they have a drinking problem, but just like myself, we the alcoholic, just don't want to hear anything from anyone regarding the addiction they say we have. We need to stop and listen to those that are trying to save our lives and also you may want to listen to your heart and body actions.

After we abuse alcohol for so long, our bodies will begin to give us signs that something maybe going wrong, but if we don't listen to others and the warning signs our body will give us, we are all in trouble in the future years to come.

Don't let alcoholism stand in your way of living a healthy and happy life. Your addiction to alcohol can be cured if you want to change your life and live it sober. It is not the end of the world if you have an addiction to alcohol. You must want to get and stay sober first and not be forced into sobriety, because if you are forced into getting sober and not wanting sobriety for your own health and life, then getting sober and staying sober just may not work.

Help in Getting Sober

Those That Just Don't Want to Listen

There are so many alcoholics that just don't want to listen to not only others, but their own heart. I know by my own experiences with drinking alcohol that deep down inside all of the alcoholics in the world we must know and feel that we are all doing wrong to ourselves and others that love and care for us.

As for myself, I knew deep down inside me that I was doing wrong and harming myself more and more each and everyday I drank alcohol, but it still wasn't enough to stop drinking alcohol. The reason it wasn't enough to make me stop drinking was because I simply wasn't ready to change my life for the better and give up the addiction to alcohol I had.

Finally one day sitting in my garage all alone ready to crack open that first can of beer for the night, sometime happened to me that would change my life forever and that was a life changing whisper from above.

I knew I had to listen to the words that were giving to me by the one that created me. By me listening to Gods words it gave me the strength and the willpower to get and stay sober and start my life over in a new, happy and healthy way.

If you don't believe in miracles I am here to tell you anything is possible in life and miracles do happen if you truly want it bad enough. Deep down inside me I knew I was doing wrong and I truly wanted my sobriety back into my life, but I was afraid and really didn't know just how to go about it until that night that changed my life hearing the voice.

Please, if you are addicted to alcohol and are abusing alcohol, listen to others and listen to you heart and body, because trust me they are not wrong. We the alcoholics that are in denial are the only ones that are wrong.

Believe in yourself. Continue to always keep a positive attitude in anything you do in life and that includes getting and staying sober and you will see just how your life will change if you want change bad enough.
