Living with Health Problems Without Insurance

I need help with my medical care

I have been living without health insurance off and on most of my life. Sometimes because jobs don't provide it or because they do and it's too expensive. When your life depends on a prescription and the prescription cost is out of your reach, what can you do?

Well, some places have free clinics. If you are lucky enough to be near one, you are very lucky. If not, sometimes, you feel like you are about to go over the waterfall without a life preserver. If you are a low income person, you may qualify for free meds. There are many sites on the internet to help but the one I have found most helpful is www.pparx.org

At pparx, you let them know what meds you take and they get the forms and you download them. You fill out the forms and then take them to your doctor to have the doctor portion filled out. It's kind of long process but it will get you the drugs you need.

I need to have surgery done. I have needed a hysterectomy for a very long time but physicians refuse to do the surgery if you don't have insurance. I am currently looking into something called "Hill Burton". It sounds like Hill Burton maybe able to help. If they do I will add it on here.

That's awesome that you are able to help others through your misfortune. Good luck with the Hill Burton thing. I will pray for you.

The National Health Service in England may be understaffed and overstretched and is rapidly being privatised from within but it is open and accessible for all although some expensive treatments and drugs may be refused if they are deemed too expensive. I would not like to imagine living with Health problems and then money problems too.
