I know from personal experience, I used to struggle with my weight all throughout high school. Now I am in good shape and love any excuse I can get to show it off.
But the way I did this was through small changes and taking one step at a time. I'm not saying you can't lose 5 kilos in a week, or two weeks, but I'm saying if you start thinking like that you will never be successful. Focus, instead, on what you are doing to achieve your weight loss.

First Step to Lose 5 Kilos: Water
My first step is to drink water. I tell this to anyone who wants to know how I lost weight and I swear by it. Not only does this help your liver function (and lose weight), it only keep you full.
See your body needs a lot of water each and every day. A good portion of that water will come from food. So when you are dehydrated, your body will give a food craving. It's actually been proven that most times you feel hungry, you are actually dehydrates.
So get plenty of water (about 8-12 glasses) and watch your food cravings, and weight, start plummeting!
Second Step to Lose 5 Kilos: Exercise
Yes I know you probably don't want to hear this but you need some exercise. When you cut calories your body will lower its metabolism to "adjust" to your diet. I wish it wasn't the case but it is vital if you are going to succeed.
But the good news is it doesn't need to be a big deal. What I did to lose weight was go on short walks after dinner. I felt great and the more I did it, the more I was able to go longer. It got to the point were I was excited for my walks, then I begin running, then I was skinny : ). Make it fun. If you like gardening, do that every couple days. Just find some way to get exercise in your routine

Third Step to Lose 5 Kilos: Love
Well its very simple. If you don't love your diet you will never succeed. I learned this while I was dieting and it was some of the best advice I've ever learned. I cringe every time I see someone go on the next "soup diet" thinking they'll be skinny in a week. If those diets worked we'd all be skinny!
If you can't live on the diet you will eventually give up, and that'll leave you feeling worse than before. Love your diet plan, and trust me you will lose weight!
Fourth Step to Lose 5 Kilos: Small Changes
This step is by far the easiest one to do. Make small changes in your diet and you will be rewarded. Buy low fat milk instead of regular. Get low calorie margarine oppose to butter.
Making these small changes will add up, and soon you won't even notice the difference. Remember everything you do will make a difference.
Fifth Step to Lose 5 Kilos: Cheat
Start small and don't be discouraged if you cheat. You actually should cheat every once in a while! What, you may be asking? Well dieting for only 4-5 days a week is far better than 7 days a week. This is true for two reasons.
First of all giving your body different calories per day will help overcome a diet plateau, where you stop losing weight. You body does this because it thinks you are starving, and wants to protect you. By cheating you tell your body that you are not starving.
Secondly you will be far more likely to stay with your diet if you do this. I only dieted on weekdays when I lost my weight. That made it easy to stick with my diet plan because I always knew I could let go on the weekends. So I could go out to eat with friends and my boyfriend and actually live a life! This made it easy to follow my diet.
