Foods To Help You Lose Weight By Boosting Your Metabolism

Great Foods

Grapefruit has been known to speed the metabolism to help weight loss. It is filled with vitamin C and helps to blocks the body’s ability to store fat. It is a low glycemic food and is high in fiber, which help you to feel fuller longer.

Grapefruit also does not impact the blood sugar like other carbohydrates. You can eat fresh grapefruit, 100% natural without fructose or added sugars, or if you do not like the taste of grapefruit, you can take in pill form.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Though there is not medical proof, that apple cider vinegar, helps you to lose weight, it is a fact that indeed it does. I and many others I have spoken to, have used it with much success. It will energize your metabolism, burn fat and help you to lose unwanted pounds. Add two or three teaspoons to eight ounces of water and add a little raw honey for sweetness and drink two to three glasses a day.

Grapes and Vegetables

Eating grapes, and berries, is a good way to add vitamin B6, C and A to you diet. The complex sugar in grapes helps to satisfy the need for something sweet and the sugar enters the blood stream slowly, avoiding a high and then crash of blood sugar levels.

Green Tea

Green tea, is not only a powerful antioxidant, and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, found that it helps speed the metabolism for quicker weight loss. It also inhibits the appetite and is a great substitute for coffee and regular teas. There are many different flavors of green tea on the market, so find one you like and drink it several times a day, with or between meals.

Water

Alkaline water, contains antioxidants, helps to flush impurities out of the body, help you to feel full by satisfying dehydration on a cellular level. Water, will also clean out the colon by encouraged the elimination for the intestines and colon. Drinking water is one of the most important parts of any weight loss program. Drink alkaline water!

Other great foods are hot peppers, nuts, seeds, yogurt, buckwheat and barley.

Short and "not too sweet". Good weight loss is not only eating and drinking those things which will aid weight loss, but also elminating those things which promote weight gain (refined sugar being the worst culprit!) Get in more vegetables and fruits (I liked the note on grapefruit!) And don't forget to help your bones and digestion by getting 30 minutes of walking or other weight-bearing exercise each day. This one deserved resurrecting into Notifications. (You could clean it up a little by another proofreading.)
