How Many Calories Does The McRib Have?

Monday October 24, 2011 will go down in history as the day the McDonald’s Corporation almost started a “happy” riot by announcing the long awaited return of the very popular McRib. The elusive boneless barbeque pork sandwich which has not been sold nationally since 1994 will be available in all U.S locations through November 14.

Foodies everywhere have turned The McRib into a pop culture phenomenon with plenty of Facebook pages dedicated to it. When McDonald’s removed The McRib from its menu in November 2010, groups like “Bring Back the McRib” gained popularity and thanks to pressure and the power of social media, the pork sandwich is back. Before you run down to your local McDonalds to sink your teeth into this popular sandwich, you might be asking yourself how many calories the McRib has. The answer is 500. That’s right, just 500 McRib calories which makes it trimmer than most sandwiches on the market today.

If you’re a diehard fan of nutrition facts then you’ll be glad to know that the McRib ingredients are simply – the bun, the pork, onions, pickles and barbecue sauce. Unfortunately at this time, McDonald’s does not provide a McRib recipe but they just announced that the McRib is back so let’s all be grateful and dig in!
