Nuts Lower Cholesterol Naturally!
Eat Your Nuts! Lower Your Cholesterol, Naturally!
In a recent study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine, it was found that eating nuts daily lowered cholesterol naturally. The findings are significant.
Researchers at Loma Linda University in California, studied over 550 people who had normal cholesterol levels who were not using lipid-lowering drugs. They ate 2.4 ounces of nuts daily.
Moral of the Story: Nuts a day keep bad cholesterol away!
The Study's Results...
The participants, who ate 2.4 ounces of nuts daily, lowered their cholesterol by 5.1%, with a 7.4% reduction in LDL-C (bad cholesterol), and a 10.2% decrease in triglycerides (a type of fat in the blood stream which leads to narrowing and hardening of the arteries).
