Omron HEM-790IT Blood Pressure Monitor Accurate and Easy to Use

Updated on March 15, 2011

A doctor’s visit often ends with directions to lose weight and to lower your blood pressure. Sounds easy and it should be easier than you may first think. In fact, sometimes losing the weight corrects the blood pressure issue. However, once you have a blood pressure problem you should continue to monitor your numbers.

The Omron HEM-790IT Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor gives you the equipment to check your blood pressure morning (checks for early morning hypertension) and evening as suggested by the medical community. It is easy to operate so you won’t dread the task. Place it over your upper arm – push one button and the HEM-790IT will automatically take three consecutive blood pressure readings. The final number will be an average of the three and an irregular heart beat symbol will show next to the final blood pressure reading if there is one.

After your blood pressure has been taken and the cuff deflates itself you will see your blood pressure reading along with your pulse rate. The display is large enough to clearly see the systolic (top number) and the diastolic (the bottom number) with the pulse rate listed below.

This blood pressure cuff is preformed and fits a medium arm (about 9 inches) up to a large arm (about 17 inches). You do not have to be a professional to know how much to inflate the cuff because it uses a technology called IntelliSense. It automatically inflates to fit your arm for a customized fit.

You know how agitating it can be for someone else to use your electronics when they change your settings. That is not a problem with the Amron HEM-790IT Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor. It automatically customizes the pressure via its ComFit technology and totals are stored separately for each user (2 regular users plus one guest). Up to 200 reading can be saved into the unit which covers about 8weeks.

The HEM-790IT can be attached to your computer through a USB connection for a detailed record of your blood pressure, pulse and any irregular heart rate that you may have. The Omron Health Management Software is included in the box. If you also use the Omron HJ-720ITC Pocket Pedometer all of your readings from both devices will be displayed within the graphs and charts of the software.

Compatible with Windows 2000, XP and Windows 7

The Amron HEM-790IT Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor is an asset to have in a home. You will often get a more accurate reading at home because you will feel more relaxed. Your schedule will not be interrupted by taking medications and any extra exertion that may take place before your doctor’s appointment.
