How does Belotero Balance work?

Belotero gel is injected into the deeper layers of the skin where it starts to work when the hyaluronic acid attracts water to the area. This causes the skin at the treated area to naturally plump and fill out. Hylaronic acid is a natural sugar which is found in the body and is known for its unique skin plumping properties. Belotero Balance is made using a Cohesive Polydensified Matrix (CPM) technology combined with a hylunronic acid base. This process gives the gel its unusual elsaticity.

Belotero Balance Procedure.

You will first need to decide on the area you would like to be treated then consult with your specialist. The size and condition of the area to be treated will have to be determined before treatment begins. Once the area and its condition are identified the process can begin. The specialist will first disinfected and apply a topical anaesthetic to numb the area during the injection process. The gel is then carefully injected into the areas identified for treatment. The duration of the process is usually between 15 to 30 minutes.

The results can be seen immediately y following the treatment as the lines and wrinkles soften and begin to face. This effect will last for approximately 6 to 12 before another treatment will be required. There are no known failure rates for this application.

Recovery is almost instant or over a few days if there is soreness. There might be some redness or a slight swelling at the injected area which can be covered with the use of make-up. Since there is no required recovery time you will be able to return to normal activity right after the treatment.

Complications or Side Effects related to Belotero Balance.

There are very little complications or side effects related to the use of Belotero Balance. Some persons may experience bruising, swelling or some discomfort near the injected area. These usually fade within a few days. There have been a few cases of allergic reactions or a flare-up of cold sores in persons who are pre-disposed to them. As with any medical treatment see your doctor immediately if these reactions occur. It is advisable that you discuss these reactions with your specialist before undergoing the treatment.

Cost

The cost of the treatment varies based on factors such as the specialist fees, the number of injections needed and the number and extent of the areas to be treated as well as your geographical location. It is safe to project the cost within the range of $300 per visit. A total of two visits per year may be needed.
