Quitting Drinking - Why Is It So Hard For Many Of Us?

WHY IS IT SO HARD?

Life as we know it is so precious and should be treasured and taken care of. Although, some peoples lives just got lead in the wrong direction, by the wrong thing, and this thing we all know to be called alcohol addition.

The big question is quitting drinking, why is it so hard for many of us to conquer this in our lives? It seems so easy of course from those that may not drink alcohol.

Has anyone ever said to you, "Why don't you just quit drinking alcohol?" It sounds so easy, don't you think? If it were that easy there would be millions a pond millions of clean and sober people walking the face of the earth.

There are just some things in life that are really difficult to achieve and one of them is Sobriety. When someone is so used to living with an alcohol addiction, it becomes part of there everyday life unfortunately and many really don't remember what it feels like to be sober.

PUSH IT AWAY AND LEARN TO SAY NO

HARD WORK FOR ALL

Millions of people all over the world work their fingers to the bone, with either physical work or mental work. For example, there are people that have their own construction business and purely doing hard physical work, but in the end they get the job done. These people work in all the elements and bad weather, plus the physical hard work added on.

Then there are those that may have an office job that requires much thinking, decision making and just pure mental strain on their minds, but they too get the job done in the end. These people are not exhausted physically, but they are mentally drained.

These are just two examples of hard work that people all over the world do, and in either case it is hard work, but they accomplish what they had set out to do from the beginning.

In my case, I have built many homes, did concrete work, laying block to build basements walls and crawl spaces. I have built and remodeled many homes and additions, but my point is, that I truly know what hard physical work is, I have been there, and at the end of the day the job was done.

In the case of trying to quit drinking alcohol, now that is a job that is tougher than any job I have ever had. It can be a struggle from the day you decide to become clean and sober, but that's to be expected when you have made your mind up to become sober.

MAKING QUITTING DRINKING A EASY THING

People that don't drink alcohol, or if they do drink, but not that often and not that much, have no idea or clue what it is like to addicted to alcohol and just hard it is to quit drinking alcohol.

Nothing in life (for most people) comes easy and I'm sure we know that. If we want something great to happen in our lives, then it's going to take some hard work, dedication, willingness and believing in yourself that you can and will achieve this and make it happen.

Quitting Drinking could be the hardest thing one could do, but it all depends on just how bad you want sobriety in your life.

If you are not willing to make a change in your life for your own self, just take a look around and see for yourself who else is being effected by your addiction to alcohol. You may be surprised, because that big word "denial" come into play.

Speaking for myself, I never thought I had a problem. Most of us live in denial and really can't see how many other people are being effected by our actions. The alcoholic when approached by family or friends telling you that you have a real addiction problem, most of the time the conversation goes in one ear and out the other.

BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

MY BEST SUGGESTION

My best suggestion to all those that think or know they are suffering from an alcohol addiction is to stop and think of all those that are being effected by your actions and addictions.

Stop thinking of you and you only and start thinking of those that love and care for you. If you love those the same as you are being loved then it should be pretty obvious that you must make a huge change in your life style and stand up to your alcohol addiction and surrender to the alcohol demons that working so hard to ruin your life.

Tell yourself that your are much stronger than the addiction that has a hold on you and your families.

Don't ever be ashamed to admit you have an alcohol addiction and don't be embarrassed to ask for help to get you clean and sober.

When you finally admit and surrender you will see just how your life will start to turn around and become better and better each and everyday being sober.

STAY STRONG, STAY POSITIVE, BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, STAY FOCUSED ON SOBRIETY AND WORK HARD TO ACHIEVE LONG TERM SOBRIETY AND I GUARANTEE YOU WILL BE SO SURPRISE OF WHAT YOU CAN ACHIEVE WHEN HAVING THE RIGHT FRAME OF MIND AND BELIEVING IN YOURSELF. WHEN ALL SAID AND DONE YOU WILL LOOK BACK IN TIME AND ASK YOURSELF "WHY YOU NEVER TRIED SOBRIETY YEARS AGO."

THEY WERE THE WORDS i SAID TO MYSELF WHEN i FOUND OUT JUST HOW EASY IT WAS TO CHANGE MY LIFE FOR THE BETTER.
