- Holyjeans and My Favorite Things: Slimware Portion Control Dinner Plates Review and #Giveaway
I'm fortunate enough to offer one of my readers their very own set of Melamine Slimware Portion Control Plates. This giveaway will end on 10/14 at midnight ET.
There are very few diets that allow you to eat ALL YOU WANT. It's no secret that portion control is a major factor in living a healthy lifestyle and especially in weight loss. Very often I hear about learning portion control, which is definitely I myself need to get a hold of. Anyone who has ever tried portion control knows how annoying it can be. It's a lot of measuring, comparing your meat to a stack of cards, funky measuring spoons, it's a pain in the butt. Who really wants to have to go through that trouble to get the right servings of food on your plate? I don't.
I wrote a blog post on several neat items I found online that help you with portion control, and in finding those, I came across a site that sold plates called Slimware. I contacted the company about these plates and was so excited to receive a couple of the Slimware Portion Control Dinner Plates to review. Not only that, but I get to give a whole set of Melanine Slimware Plates to one of my lucky readers.
Slimware Portion Conscious Dinner Plates
Slimware Portion Control plates are strategically designed to help take the guess work out of portion sizes. No more measuring, weighing, guessing, wasting time fixing your plate while your family is already sitting down. You simply spoon the food onto your plate in the designated spots.
Each design is unique and made in a way that only you know they serve a purpose. To everyone else they are just pretty dishes. They don't have any sections marked with wording or outlined sections that stick out like a sore thumb. They're just nice elegant dinner plates.
Slimware plates come in either ceramic or melamine. Designs are different for both. I received one of each, and was very impressed by the quality of both. The ceramic is not cheap feeling, it's very sturdy. The melamine are very durable and virtually break resistant to your typical wear and tear. I favor the melamine for two reasons, the durability, the square shaped plates, and because I like the designs of the melamine over the ceramic. Okay, 3 reasons.
The Slimware Portion Control plates are microwave and dishwasher safe and come in a nice variety of designs like Downtown Chic, Jubilee, Sunburst, Urban Safari for the Melamine. I received the Melamine in Sunburst and the Ceramic in Bluebelle Dream.
Overall I was very pleased with the 2 Slimware plates I tested. They appealed in both the visual aspect and as well as the functionality. I like simple, easy, convenient and sometimes even a little discretion. I got all of that with the Slimware plates.
