If I remember it right, vaccine for this flu was rushed that no insurance company would be willing to provide coverage and the U.S. government provided insurance. Someone complained that fear of the Spanish flu pandemic in 1918 was largely responsible for the rush.Salk did not buckle down under pressure and to think that he was going against prevailing knowledge of live virus for a polio vaccine. He also rejected the double blind research design, considered gold standard, as immoral for his vaccine.

"Kinda spooky how he took the flu and turned it into a world wide killer."

Not at all spooky, it's happened many times in the past. 1918, for example.

Lafenty, they have not spoken of it very much because of widespread panic. HELLO....... I will post new updates every Sunday, you kind of have to reasearch them then do it again to make sure you are correct.

I wonder why it's dropped out of the news, if it's still so widespread. I just finished reading The Stand, by Stephen King. Kinda spooky how he took the flu and turned it into a world wide killer.

No. I have actually clicked on all your links and none of them point to an actual list. I am curious because I also am following this for another reason as I have written a fictional account almost 2 years ago. Here is a link to my story (not sure if this is hub approved but I’ll include it anyway ... http://www.webook.com/project/NUDES

I have footnoted it in the top, thanks I have researched and compiled and compared numbers, even siting each Health Department for each county in each state. The numbers all matched up, if there were discrepancies although a few i put no new information. I hope this answers your question to the validity of my research and writing. Thanks for your comment.

You have an expensive and seemingly precise list, could you footnote the info?

Thinking,

I guess they didn't want to scare anyone but look at the numbers for DC and the numbers surrounding the state. They have bareley been touched and all that shaking hands and fake hugs we see from politicians everyday. North Carolina had more confirmed cases at boy scout camp than the whole state of DC makes me wonder if the politicians and lobbyist aren't getting some sort of vaccinne. I have been to DC it is as congested as New York.

advisor, the amount of cases in Florida is shocking as it is fairly a smaller state such as mine NC. But like NC alot of people travel there, I wouldn't go to Disney World right now if Kid Rock begged me too, well maybe for one day,!

I am sure the sudden rise was due to travelers over the Holdiay, Keep washing them hands!!

Fellow Germaphobe,

They hyped it so much in the beginning, when bodies didn't start dropping in the streets people who were unaffected lost sight of the problem. thanks for the update, it's not going away any time soon.
