Drinking Green Tea for Weight Loss

Green tea has been reported to have an effect on weight loss. This popular herbal drink has gained notoriety over the years for its antioxidant and polyphenol content, both of which may have an effect on aging and cancer. Further studies now show that there is an added benefit to drinking green tea--weight loss.

Green tea's weight loss properties work by burning fat and preventing the energy conversion into fat, increasing the body's metabolism, reducing the absorption of dietary fats, calorie burning, and blood sugar regulation. It also naturally acts as an appetite suppressant, when consumed on a regular basis.

Green tea also plays a role in the weight loss associated with exercise. It increases the body's endurance during exercise, which helps the body reach achieve lean muscle mass in a less amount of time.
