What is the Law of Attraction?

Simply put, the law of attraction is the force in the universe that brings like things together. It works on energy vibrations. That is why you hear phrases like "the rich get richer while the poor get poorer" or "what goes around comes around".

There are dozens of sayings we use every day that refer to the law of attraction without us even knowing it:

  • treat others the way you would like to be treated
  • you have to give if you want to get
  • be careful what you wish for

What you think and feel about most, you bring about in your own life.

Why don't I have what I want?

The reason most people don't have the life of their dreams is because that isn't what they are spending their energy and time thinking about!

When you think of being in debt - you attract more debt.

When you think about how bad your job is - you have a worse time at work.

When you think about how terrible, sad, angry, wrong, or negative something is - THAT is what you are thinking about and feeling, so THAT is what you attracting into your life. You are operating on a lower frequency than what you actually want to be operating at.

Good news! You can fix it!

Any time you catch yourself thinking anything negative, stop yourself. Try to find a better way of looking at it. Find the positive! Feel the positive! Focus on what you do want instead of what you don't.

Examples:

Money - rather than worrying about not having enough, focus on what you do have and be grateful for it!

Love - rather than focus on what's wrong, look at all of the good things, as many as you can count! Direct your attention on the positive things so that you give those a chance to show up more in your life. Be happy for others you see sharing experiences you would like for yourself.

Material objects - stop pouting over not having the clothes, shoes, jewelry, or vehicle of your dreams! Window shop with happiness in your heart. Say "wow, that is really beautiful, I can't wait to have that for my very own." - instead of "man, that's way too expensive, I'll never be able to afford that."

How do I make it work RIGHT NOW?

Research your butt off! Honestly, it takes a serious drive to see immediate results. You didn't create your current situation in the blink of an eye and you won't undo it that quickly either.

There are many positive ways you can focus your energy to a higher frequency and start seeing results right away. The most immediate of which is the way you feel. When you feel better you will see the good things around you more easily.

The Secret is huge right now! It is one of the best programs for helping you understand the law of attraction and get tuned into making it work for you.

Your training wouldn't be complete if you only follow that program, however, because there are actually 11 laws of the universe. Bob Proctor has some excellent videos that you can watch on youtube.

EFT is another great way to help you see results sooner. It stands for Emotional Frequency Tapping. It works with the Chakras and energy centers of your body.

Positive affirmations are a great tool as well. Watch video clips, write them down and post them around your house where you will see them. Spend at least 10 minutes a day really focusing on your positive affirmations.

Clean everything! Feng Shui ties into the whole balance and flow of energy as well. If you want the positive energy to flow to and through your life, you have to make sure it has a clear path!

Bonus Secret:

Through all of my research I have come to discover that the real secret is in your subconscious mind! That is the part of you that holds you back, puts you down, and keeps you where you are even if it isn't where you want to be.

Retraining the subconscious mind to think more positively is exactly what you need to do in order to succeed in anything you want to truly achieve!

That is where your core energy and power resides. That is why even when you want something something always stops you or gets in your way. That is what all of the great teachers of self improvement and motivation are trying to help you achieve.

It takes time to reprogram your subconscious mind because it took years - heck, it took your entire life up to this moment to program it the way that it is now!

If you are serious about wanting the Law of Attraction to work for you, listen to everything I have shared with you here. Research, read, study, and don't let you talk yourself out of it. Resistance will kick in once you step outside your comfort zone and kick it up a notch.

Keep at it. Get at least one person who will support you on your quest. Having a support team or support system in place really helps during those difficult moments.

You can do this! You know you can and you know you want to, otherwise you wouldn't have taken the time to read this article. Now get out there and get the life you want and deserve!

this is interesting!

Can you tell me your opinion on this: some things I've heard/read on this subject say "the process" is very important, while others say you should not include the process at all. Which do you think is accurate?

The intention is more important than the process. It goes along with the old saying "where there is a will, there is a way." When you focus on what you want, rather than how you are going to get there the path unfolds before you. There will be action taken, I'm not saying it will just fall in your lap, however, you will get a better understanding or feeling of what actions TO take in order to get to where you want to go. Thanks for the question!

Both these articles explain clearly what we need to do. I have learned by staying away from negative people in general is a great way to begin a positive lifestyle. I've been haunted all my life by a low self-esteem and even though I have managed to change that through positive thinking I still fall back there sometimes. Our biggest fan should be us. If we don't feel good about us, others will just continue to stomp all over our dreams to a better being.

Very inspirational. I did read The Secret, however, feel like its hard sometimes to focus on the positive when the negative is constantly in your face. Thanks for the reminder to keep a clear path and keep at it!
