Place Of The Deep Peaceful Joy

Updated on October 12, 2013

The place of the deep peaceful joy is not found in any achievement, or environment. Our family is important, but in them neither will be found. We could:

  • be the best meditators,
  • practice yoga,
  • pay a therapist,
  • go for daily exercises,
  • swim,
  • listen to music
  • etc;

and still not find the place of deep peaceful joy.

Life itself is a struggle as we walk along the path of surviving. It is often said that we ought to live instead of survive, but the reality is that to live we need to survive; without forgetting what life is about. These concepts, I guess, walk hand in hand as good friends.

Surviving

Surviving is to wake up early in the morning when the silence of night still surrounds our earthly space; struggling between obligations and own pleasures. Responding to responsibilities dignifies humans.

Dignity is a moral value which makes surviving be a help for those who depend on us to live. As the sun takes its daily journey, we survive performing so many things! When the cycle of the day returns the sun to the other side of the world we will meditate with our heads on a bed.

Matthew 6:34

"Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

Meditating

Meditating in our surviving actions should make a big smile arise from the heart and that smile will be accompanied by self pride, honor and high esteem.

When we do what we need to do… independently of our likes, commodity or gratitude…the place of deep peaceful joy gains space in us.

Philippians 4:8

"Therefore, my brethren, those things that are true, those that are honorable, those that are righteous, those things that are pure, those things that are precious, those things that are praiseworthy, deeds of glory and of praise, meditate on these things."

Place of the deep peaceful joy

Nothing should ever disturb the peace within; exactly there, is found the place of the deep peaceful joy. In us…somewhere inside…in the heart, the brain our guts, or soul,…just within!

Ecclesiastes 12:7 says

"then the dust will return to the earth as it was, and the spirit will return to God who gave it".

According to the way the Bible mentions the spirit...I would say that since the spirit is of God... Where more could the place of deep peaceful joy be found?

Are you in peace?

In ourselves

Against whatever the environment is… jail, a mountain, alone or with company; it is in us! Unless we permit other less to go inside; only we have the permission to disturb it. Of course many activities help... but only in ourselves the place of deep peaceful joy is found.

Activities such as:

Turning the page each day

I wish and pray for all of us that as this year turns the page everyday, the next coming, will be received as a new beginning. Being accepted as an opportunity to start once again. May the things that happened be seen as lessons to make us better, and regret left away with negative thoughts.

As days accumulate surviving performances, let nothing take away “the place of the deep peaceful joy”.
