Things I needed to improve on as I got older

Isn't that what life is about? Evolving or growing and changing is a must if we want to get better whether spiritually, mentally, emotionally, or just in manners and etiquette.
So here is a list of 10 Things I personally have worked on ~~that you might like to try some as well.
We have 2 ears and 1 mouth which means we should listen more than we speak.
2. Taking good care of a pet
This may not seem a big deal but for many it gives them an idea slightly of what having children may be like..........believe me when your cat meows all night or wants constant attention, it's sort of similar!!
3. Keep a blessings journal
I haven't done this consistently, but I know many a person who benefited of it, and changed their view into a more positive one. What do you do? Daily, you write in your journal all the good things that have happened--you think hard and write down even "little" things. Try it!!
4. Dressing Nice
This also may seem obvious but it isn't always. Ladies, have you ever been a tomboy or gotten into a phase where you stopped paying attention to your makeup or how you dress? If you're looking for a man (or you're a man looking for a woman) it's really important (out of courtesy) to not just shower and be clean, but to really try and match your clothes (See my hub on tips for matching clothes!) and have neat hairdo, and overall look presentable. Most people I think find this attractive and nice and you will get compliments. [Just don't go around with a red hat, green shirt, purple pants, and yellow sneakers......lol]
5. Practice self denial
This applies to many things: food, and sex are two things. Don't eat that extra brownie or Stop feeling sorry for yourself, Pick yourself up, fight your depression or eating problem, or whatever it is. Christians call it "Dying to oneself" "Picking up your cross and following Jesus".
6. Get help!
If you have drug problems, or alcohol problems and it's ruining your family life--Get help! If you have constant moodiness or feel you need help with depression, Get help!
7. Say "I love you"
We all have situations where it can be hard; a parent who has always been mean or a relative who doesn't show affection.........Tell your loved ones and friends you love them. Let them know- it will be best in the long run and they will know you care (it's a brave thing to do!!) And if you just can't show it, then show it by doing nice things to help out :)
8. Learn new things
Never stop learning. We are suppossed to learn something new everyday but try and take a class--no matter how old. Study the pyramids on tv or watch a new artist/comedian/singer. Learn to knit-------travel-----Explore your mind, your options, your destiny-----A mind is a terrible thing to waste!!!!
9. Be brave
Being a human often requires being brave. Don't repeat the mistakes of your parents or family. Don't always stay in your comfort zone. For some: try sky diving, socialize more, be more active --go to the gym or swim, go bowling (if you don't and want to) Try a new type of food........variety is the spice of life!
10. Never give up
Another cliche you may think....but seriously don't give up on your job, your work, your God... Keep the faith, keep yourself alive! God loves you and so do many people you may not think so. Talk to people about whether you or they care--Don't assume. (that makes an ass out of u and me!) Pray- call a hotline---------Become a source of love and care for yourself and others. It will also make you feel so good and useful (to the elderly, the sick, anyone).
