1. Eat breakfast every morning!
Whenever you skip your breakfast, you send a message to your body caloric deprivation, which is in a state of fasting for several hours. What do you think your brain will do in these circumstances? 4. Eat more complex carbohydrates
We mentioned previously that the magnitude of the increase in metabolism after a meal depended on what we ate. This means that if you eat a meal high in fat, your body will spend few calories to digest it. In fact, lipids absorbed and digested easily, which is not the case for protein and complex carbohydrates. For example, after a meal rich in protein, your metabolism can literally get carried away. It has already been observed in some people an increase in metabolism of more than 30% after eating a meal high protein. So you store less calories by eating a steak than eating cheese fondue.
However do not conclude to eat steak for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Too much protein is bad for the body, especially for kidneys. Instead, eat more complex carbohydrates (there are many in fruits and vegetables). These foods cause a marked elevation of metabolism, even if it is not as strong as that caused by the digestion of proteins.
5. Avoid heavy meals for 22 hours!
Eating a big meal an hour or two before going to bed is the freeway to reap calories at night. Because of the low dietary thermo genesis that follows, it is advisable to take the last meal of the day at least 4 hours before bedtime.
6. Drink plenty of water
The biochemical activity related to metabolism requires lots of water. If you are not drinking enough water, your metabolism will slow down.
7. Exercise regularly
