Life Can Be Hard: Inspiration to Conquer Life's Trials and Finish Strong

We all experience hard times. Some of life's trials can feel like they are down right paralyzing to our progress. At the times that you face these trials it can feel almost impossible to carry on through your normal activities, let alone conquer the trial at hand.

Each person is unique and with each person's existence comes a set of unique trials and difficulties, but one thing that isn't exactly unique to you is that a determination to persevere and a firm decision to never give up can pull you through whatever trial life decides to throw at you.

It is completely within your power to choose your attitude, to choose to keep moving forward, and to choose to show the world that great triumphs are possible even when you are up against the most difficult odds.

If you feel like you are at a point where it's impossible to overcome the trial that you are up against, the brief three minute video below, entitled "Are You Going to Finish Strong?" could be just the inspiration and motivation that you need.

Nick Vujicic has overcome great odds to become a person of powerful influence in the world, and his story has helped people all around the world to finish strong even when it seems like finishing the race of life may be impossible.

Validation: The Power to Make a Difference Through Very Simple Means

Can you imagine what it would be like to live in a world where people validated each other in their struggles and trials?

What would it be like to live in a world where each person was recognized for their unique characteristics?

What if the people around you constantly recognized and acknowledged the good in you, encouraging you along your path each day?

What kind of a difference would it make in your life and in the world if you had the confidence to compliment others and recognize their positive influence freely without worrying about that diminishing your own importance or self worth?

We live in a world where people live in fear of what other people think of them. It's unfortunate that people feel like they can't walk out the door without facing the negative judgments of others about the way they look, the way they act, the way they feel, and the way they choose to believe or not believe.

Mother Teresa once said, “If you judge people, you have no time to love them.”

Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where people put their judgments aside and loved people just for being their unique selves?

If you want to see what it would be like to live in that kind of a world or you just need a reason to smile, watch this video entitled "Validation." I know that it's 16 minutes long, but I promise that it is worth your time.

It's guaranteed to leave you happier when you finish it than you were when you started.

If you judge people, you have no time to love them.

— Mother Teresa

Each Person Has Great Potential: Are You Living the Life of a Caterpillar When You Were Meant to Be a Butterfly?

I've always loved this quote from Trina Paulus about the motivation it takes to live up to our full potential:

"How does one become a butterfly?" she asked pensively. "You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar."

Too many of us see ourselves as fuzzy caterpillars and continue to live a lifestyle that is beneath us when we were meant to soar on the wind like beautiful butterflies.

Why do we continue to see ourselves as weak, when we were meant for so much more?

What would happen if you chose to come out of your cacoon and inspire the world with your full majesty by simply living up to your true potential?

What influence could you have on the world if you helped others to see their innate value and worth and encouraged them to live up to their highest potential as well?

This video entitled, "The Butterfly Circus," is a little bit longer than the others, but it is well worth your time.

It is a story of transformation. It is about leaving self loathing and negative judgments behind to become your best self.

It is a story that everybody needs to hear.

Warning: This video is known for making even the toughest people break down and cry. If you are one of those people who doesn't like to show your emotions, it's still a valuable video to watch, but you might want to watch it alone.

'How does one become a butterfly?' she asked pensively. 'You must want to fly so much that you are willing to give up being a caterpillar.'

There's Nothing Like a Little Spontaneity to Brighten Your Day

I admit, this video, entitled "Food Court Musical" is mostly just for the sake of having some fun and getting some laughs, but I think there is still a powerful lesson that can be learned from it.

Sometimes we need a little bit of spontaneity in life to spice things up and help us to find a greater abundance of joy and fun among the mundane tasks that are often required of us.

Jane Austen's famous character, Emma, said, “Why not seize the pleasure at once? -- How often is happiness destroyed by preparation, foolish preparation!”

There's nothing wrong with taking some time out of your day to have some fun every once in a while, in fact, it's good for you.

You weren't meant to go through life feeling like a mindless zombie just going through the motions. You were meant to live a fulfilling life, spending your time doing the things you care about.

Hopefully your life is filled with meaningful activities that bring you joy and excitement, but if you're having one of those days where you just need something random to mix things up a little bit and give you something to laugh about, this is a great video for you.

Why not seize the pleasure at once? -- How often is happiness destroyed by preparation, foolish preparation!

— Jane Austen, Emma

If you're looking for some help to get out of zombie mode and get more fulfillment out of life, this book might be just the motivation you need.
