The WIC Program is a nutritional program to aid women and children to have a more nutritionally balanced meal plan. WIC is provided through State funds from Federal grants which is given to the individual States. WIC is a program that provides supplemental food products. WIC also provides for low income mother's and children as well as mother's to be, mother's who are breastfeeding, and non-breastfeeding postpartum women with health care referrals, and nutritional education as well. All infants and children up to age five years old who are found to be at a nutritional risk.

WIC not only helps to educate mothers but charts the growth of babies to ensure a healthy baby. Measurements of the babies head, length as well as weight are kept track of as the baby grows and matures.
