I believe that weight is always an issue with people, whether they are struggling with being overweight or underweight. Weight loss is hard and we constantly have to work at it. However, as we grow older, not only is weight an issue but Health is an issue as well. As I am getting older, I have been more focused on eating healthy and with that, weight management automatically happens.. I know that it sounds easy but after much research and many years of eating poorly, well, not being as concerned about my health, my weight or what entered my body, I started educating myself about weight, nutrition, health and exercise.

Over the last couple of decades I have tried the various fad diets and can honestly tell you that long term, they do not work. Dieting is like writing, you have to find your style and work on that style that works for you. Health is consider nutrition and exercising which is my main concern and once I figured that out, my weight really never was an issue. What is your style? That is what you have to determine. To help you determine that, weight, health, exercise promoted me to write this article, to help others.
We have heard the same tips for our entire lives. Seriously, you are NOT going to lose weight unless you do it the old fashion way, eat right and exercise. Trying all the fad diets will not do it long term. You have to find the dieting and exercise routine that works with you lifestyle. This will take months or weeks, not days. It's a commitment.
To find my dieting style, I use magazines, books, journals, and websites. Here are my favorite websites;
Oxygen Magazine; I started with the “tips” on being healthy, nutrition and then I ordered the magazine to come to my home so I could start working on the exercises they recommend. In fact, I created my own strength training journal for each body group to work out each week. This magazine is geared towards competitive body building training but this magazine has some helpful tips for all levels.
Spark People I used this website for counting my calories and watching what I am eating. This website is perfect for the person who wants to lose a little weight to a lot of weight. I use a food journal too (a notebook) where I track my calories as I am running around or traveling. Then I load them into this website and monitor everything that I consume. The community of people of this website helps me with exercise tips to motivating me to eat better, healthier or just support that I need from time to time.
Eating Well remarkable website for recipes and food nutrition. This site is easy to follow, scrumptious recipes and fun tips to help you out as you are working your way to a better lifestyle. I like this site because it’s creative and unique to me.
Polar watch if you do work out and track your heart rate, calories and monitor your activities, this watch is perfect for you. Biggest loser this website was the one that helped me to eat right. When I starting watching this show, I realized the importance of nutrition and what I was doing to my body by eating all that bad food. People, I can’t stress enough the importance of eating healthy. www.dietfactors.com yep, this website will give you the nutrition information you are seeking. It has fast food information, restaurants and food nutrition for calories, fat and Trans fat. Incredible site that stays updated with new foods and fad diets. Check it out, you will be amazed by the fat we consumer each day. Just teasing, this site will help you make the right, health decisions when looking to eat something at home or eating out.
www.hubpages.combelieve it or not, this website has some awesome tips, articles and information on nutrition, what is good to eat, vitamins, recipes, tips on exercising and so much more. Go and check it out.
Once you have researched your style, then start putting it together. Buy a workout/food journal and track your process. Believe, it works, write it down! Everything you do, for 1 month or long, write it down, all the food that enters your mouth and all the exercising you are doing. Then review this journal and track what works best for your body. You will figure out the best workouts that your body responds too and the food that satisfies your body. This will come together. You dieting style is there, find it, research it, study it. Then develop your food or nutrition that works for you, exercise appropriately and when you can and watch as your health improves. It's all out there, view these websites, read magazines and start doing it.
Again, I am not talking about fad diets; I am talking about your health. The websites grow and change as I grow and change but I always keep track of which works best for me, for my style. I encourage you to find your dieting style, design and develop it and it will work. It’s not about “dieting” it’s about nutrition, health, weight and exercise, figure it out and it will work, I promise.
