I had been asked to keep and show my caloric intake records. I was told that knowing how many Calories are in a slice of bread (80), fried egg (105), etc. was important.
I get most of my information from the food's package information. I also use the information on food calories from The "T-Factor 2000 Diet" book by Martin Katahn, Ph.D. . This next source is from United States Dept. of Agriculture- http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/ .
