What You Don't Know About Big Pharma may be Hurting You

Even though most of us are already familiar with the common evils associated with pharmaceutical medication. Evils such as side effects so vial sometimes you wonder if you were just better of not treating the disease, in the first place. According to the book Fit For Life, Not Fat For Life, author, Harvey Diamond states that all pharmaceutical medicines are poisons in disguise.

In his book, Diamond goes on to state that doctors have to take a semester of toxicology in order to prescribe medications. Toxicology is the study of poisons, which are means that all pharmaceutical medications are just poison and do not have any healing properties. He also says that they only treat the symptoms and this only makes the problem worse. The body uses pain to warn us that we are overly toxic and by using pharmaceuticals, to treat this pain, all we are doing is overloading the lymphatic system even more and this in turn causes us to get even sicker, causing a vicious cycle, of more medication and more illness and more medication and more illness.

There is another evil that is not publicized and most people are not aware of. This is a critical side effect that is often swept under the rug. The problem is drug induced nutrient depletion. Drug induced nutrient depletion may not sound serious to most people, but it is very serious and can lead to many illnesses. Diminished nutrients in the body lead to many diseases. Some drugs are known to even hinder the absorption of necessary nutrients. We already live in a world with depleted soil and foods that are overly processed, add medications that deplete an already depleted organism and this spell disaster for most patients.

Some drug related nutrient depletion is becoming better understood. It is well known that some oral contraceptive deplete the body’s stores of vitamin B6 and B12. Cholesterol lowering statin drugs causes a depletion of Q10. This kind of defeats the purpose, if you are using statin drugs to treat heart disease, since Q10 is an enzyme necessary for the heart to function well. You may be lower your cholesterol, but you are hurting your heart at the same time, by robbing it of its precious stores of Q10.

One may ask themselves. Why don’t they list that the drug causes nutrient depletion along with all the other side effects. I could list a number of theories, starting with the fact that Big Phama has the biggest lobby in Washington, not to mention a multi-Billion dollar industry. They have a lot of vested interests and they pay politicians very well for the privilege of keeping their business lucrative. Every wondered why some people pay up to twenty dollars a pill. Why they can charge such prices for drugs that cost very little to make. Because they can, that’s why.

Since you can’t expect those in government or the FDA to take care of your health interest, it is up to you, the consumer to take a proactive health stance. Next time your doctor reaches for his pad, you can ask your doctors if that medication depletes the nutrients in one’s body. I for one wouldn’t hold my breath, although doctors are becoming more enlightened concerning alternative health practices, many of them are still in the dark and still partner up with Big Pharma. Write down whatever information the doctor can provide you with. Afterwards, you take the information your doctor gave you and you do your research online, to see if he or she gave you reliable information. You also try to research the medication that he had prescribed to you. Like many things today, it is up to the patient to safeguard his own health.

You still have the freedom to safeguard your health and you also have the responsibility as well. It would be wise to supplement yourself more, if you find out that the medication you are taking will deplete your body of essential nutrients.

Don’t keep this matter silent. Make others aware of the fact that their health is under attack and that money is a big priority when it comes to writing prescriptions. If we don’t fight the good fight now that we still have a chance and our health, we may find that tomorrow may be too late.

Thanks Sandispider. I just wish Big Pharma wasn't so powerful, so far the death toll from prescription drugs is alarming. I wish more people would wake up and try to protect their health. Awareness is our greatest defense right now.

Thank you imranbzu, I'm more than glad to share this information, the only way to control these giants is through awareness. It's also good to know, because a body rob of nutrients is not going to heal, not matter how many medications one takes.
