Running is simple to do. You don't need any fancy equipment other than comfortable clothes and some decent (not necessarily costly) footwear. You can of course buy a treadmill for home, but nothing beats the fresh air if you can find a course to run outdoors. Running is a great way to burn off calories and to tone your muscles overall too. Remember though to build up carefully and slowly to avoid injuries. It should also of course go without saying that if you are in doubt about your health. Get yourself checked by your doctor before starting any exercise regime.
Using a jump rope is an excellent way of getting fit as well as improving your co ordination. All you need is a simple jump rope and a little space. You can do this indoors or even during a break at work. As you get better at jumping the rope you will start to burn off those excess calories that most of us eat and will find that your muscle tone improves.
Cycling is a great aerobic exercise that will improve your circulation and start to break down the fats in your body. It is also an excellent exercise if you have joint problems such as in the knees. One common mistake that people make is to cycle in too high a gear. Remember, it is better to have a low gear and spin your legs really quickly, than to have to push really hard gears. It doesn't have to be torture and simple tips like ensuring that you have the wind behind you on your return will make your ride much more enjoyable. You can of course purchase a stationary indoor bike but beware that you will sweat heavily so have plenty of towels and fresh water available at all times.
Of course, for all the exercise that you do if you want to do workouts for weight loss, you should also eat a sensible diet with lots of fruit and vegetables as well as low fat protein and complex carbohydrates such as those found in bread, pasta and the like. If you follow these workouts, you should start to see a difference very soon but if you stop of course, you may soon find yourself back at square one, so be consistent and keep doing your workouts for weight loss and see the difference it makes for yourself.
