Let's face it: weight loss takes self discipline. You are simply going to have to set up some rules for yourself and follow them. How else can any change take place? Self discipline is a "must" but here are some weight loss specifics.
Consider Going Vegan.
Have you ever thought of becoming a vegan? Vegans do not eat any animal based food at all. It is a very compassionate way to live. Going vegan is a great way to combine your care for animals and your weight loss plan. It can also help with weight loss in many cases. Of course, even if you are not eating any animal based foods you need to watch out with overall caloric intake and carbohydrates.
Eat More Salads.
One thing that is very easy to do in order to achieve weight loss is just to add a salad a day. This is an easy way to start eating more nutritious food. It is also a good way to sneak more vegetables into your diet without noticing. You could also substitute a salad for a meal. Be sure that you are using a low calorie dressing. Putting gobs of thick high calorie dressing on it isn't what you are aiming for. Also, take care about not piling cheese and tons of croutons on it as well.
Write Out Your Plan.
It helps to take the time to write out your weight loss plan. Include such details as foods you eat, your drinks, exercise regimen and even your emotions. Your emotions and how you manage them can be very important to your success. It is not easy to lose weight without keeping detailed records. You will need access to your daily data but do not get overwhelmed about this. As a matter of fact, keeping your weight loss journal will become surprisingly routine in time.
Find Sources of Motivation.
What motivates you? This question has a unique answer for every individual, that is what is so wonderful about people. Maybe you could provide rewards for yourself. Another option is to go on a special trip or do something rewarding for yourself. The choice is up to you.
Seize your personal motivation and eat more salads. You may even want to go vegan. Make a point of staying motivated and keeping track by writing out your plan. With self discipline and a great weight loss plan you can lose weight for good.
