What is the best way to calm the mind? Especially when you have to make a lot of big decisions.
Meditation
Meditation
Meditation calming the mind and your breathing.
Meditation is the key for sure...but if you don't know how to then the best way is to go running...Running only, not walking or jogging...sprint would even be better...you should be sweating like anything after half an hour, cool down and take a cold water shower post that and then the decisions...
Meditation and activity! As Gerard Butler says in the new L'oreal commercial "Get youself involved!"
Take a break, take a walk, do something beautiful for yourself and for someone you know who may need it from you.
Just pause and change your activity to freshen up.
And sleep, sleep, sleep
Take a break, and use the time to help others. Even a small congratulation message or several good opinion/pad on the back is good. If one eases others' business that one's business would become easier, my two cents..
Drugs and alcohol. These two combined always lead to feeling brain dead.
In all seriousness, just like the 20 posts above me, meditation and mindfulness are the way to go. Full attention. Here. Now. Taking my own advice now
I find that mindfulness meditation works the best:

What's the best way to calm your mind before going to sleep?Sometimes I've just got too much going through my head to go to sleep. What's the best way to get my mind off of everything else? Is it counting sheep, doing math problems, or something else?

What is the best way to "live in the now"?I often hear about this as a means of de-stressing and improving the quality of one's life, but I often find it hard to do. My OCD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder don't help either. If you are able to, what's your secret?
