One that sticketh closer than a brother.  That holds so much weight for if a stranger can be all of the above and more than your family can, that is indeed a true friend!

Ah, many answers but my simple reply is simply, true friends mean everything and all others are on the outside. Dont trust all the folks you know...

A "friend" is someone who knows all about you and loves you anyway.

Someone who is close enough that you would actually consider them family. You can go to them for anything and they think the same of you.

The promise of a true friend will not require apologies.  I wrote an article titled Soul of a friend.
Loyal friendships require trust and trust is only attained over time. Nothing can accomplish anything greater than the strong bond of faithful relationships.
A real friend will hand you the Kleenex when tears are flowing, but those special friends, they stay around for a lifetime.

Friends are people who can understand our situation. People who want to be a listener when we want to talk and complaining. People who can give advice when we are wrong.

    The definition of a friend is vast,I have many friends,classmates,former classmates,co-workers,club mates,etc=friends.

But a true friend,I have only a few.

A true friend feels you  in spirit even when not around, then the phone rings.

A true friend will not allow you to hurt yourself, would not hurt you and wouldn't allow anyone to hurt you either.

A true friend is just that TRUE!

to a friend is when no matter how much time has passed or how much distance is between you, when you do talk its like none of that matters and its as if you talked yesterday. Also when you feel completely comfortable with that person.

A friend is someone you enjoy being around, who makes you laugh when you are down. A friend will never judge you, but accepts you for who you are-- with love. You never have to ask a true friend for help, because being around you--- they are aware of anyhelp you might require. Yes, a friend is with you during the good times and the bad. The best friendships last longer than most marriages. There can never be a $ value put on a friendship, because they are priceless and rare as pearls.

Someone who understands you well, who you can trust, who is honest and helpful, who is always there to share your happiness and sorrow.

A friend is someone who has things in common with you and who may not get in touch often but when they do it's worth more than getting a ton of forwards or getting into a bunch of meaningless discussions, debates, arguments or studies with people. I'd rather have a get-together with a friend or a few once in a while than go to, say, a bible study every week that ends up irritating rather than inspiring me. I'd rather hear from a friend in a personal note a few times a year than get email chain forwards from them every day or a few times a week.

1)Someone Who is there for you in good times & bad times.
2)Someone Who is loyal and honest with you no matter what.
3)Someone Who sticks up for you, Cries with you, Comforts you, Shares important Moments & memories with You.
    4) Someone You grew up with (if anyone), Who cares for you when you're down.
    5) Someone who teaches you and you teach them back in your own way. Learning from one another is a way to be a friend.
