   What do you think about teenage pregnancy?

   In past generations it was not unheard of for parents to send their daughters away until after the baby was born and given up for adoption or those with money hired doctors to perform illegal abortions.
   
   Today you see a lot more parents accepting the fact that they are about to become grandparents. Some of them actually come to embrace the idea of it and offer to raise the infant as their daughter continues live out her teenage years.
   The peers of the girl are also more accepting of teen pregnacy.
   In fact recently there was a news story about a group of girls that made a pact to get pregnant around the same time.
   
   Oddly enough with the various types of birth control methods, safe sex information, morning after pill, and legalized abortions it appears that teenage mothers are increasing rather than decreasing.

      Saw the movie about the pact in northern France, the reality is sex can lead to pregnancy, woman is made to procreate unconsciously or not, emotions confuse the teen and leads to a child being born and consequences for life. Chastity worked for me.

   Its ridiculous. I know I'm about to sound like a 90 year old man, but all these stupid tv shows exploiting pregnant teens are making it seem like a good thing- especially since the shows generate enough money in a week to put each of the pregnant girld through college. Pregnancy is a completely life changing event, and is easily avoided. Have kids if you really want to have kids, but at least wait until you know if that "want" is really a genuine desire and need to have kids or if its just a whim.

      I agree we would love our children to understand that it is not about instant desire or play, it is serious and life altering not only for them but for the child…so many lives complicated if not worst.

   I think it can be prevented.  But I also think that every baby is a blessing, regardless of the circumstances he/she is born into.  If it happens, it happens.
